- Wow...talk about hitting the "wall".
BET = the last refuge of those without options.

- Didn't take him long to find work though.
- T.J. Holmes is a black woman's fantasy, a black news anchor with "swagga." His long term prospects are dim though. BET cut their news division not that long ago because of poor ratings.
- He will be a big fish in a smaller pond.

- Ed Gordon 2.0?
- I think he would be great in one on one interviews for BET, especially with the more established black celebs. BET really doesnt have anybody to do that. They tried with Monique, she had a great line up of guests but she was very preachy.
- This is what he should be doing.
As I said in the TJ thread, he doesn't have the personality to do the "serious" news.
- [R3] Are you a black woman or is being one your fantasy?

- Well, TJ Holmes didn't want to be stuck in the "weekend black ghetto" of anchors on CNN. Well, where does he think he's going now? Oh sure, he may be the big star at BET now--and he probably won't be on weekends.
Maybe TJ is happy, and that's great for him. However, if his ultimate goal is to be bigger star in the news business, then he just took a seat in the back of the bus because BET is nowhere in the news business. I hope they're paying him well to make a move from a major network to a very minor one.

I seriously doubt his "move" was his own idea.
- Way hotter than Don Lemon. Way hotter.
- He is my type. Fine, fine, fine......
- He is so handsome. His voice makes me moist on Saturday mornings when I am having my breakfast before work.
- He's only 165 pounds?
- RE : 4 has it right- CNN , even with lower ratings, still is seen by so many more people than BET. He'll fade away soon, back to a local market. Too bad, cause I like the guy. Don Lemmon does have more personalty though.

- Good luck to him.
- He is quite the hottie but I wish he would stay with CNN. He's too damn good for ghetto ass BET. That's right. I went there.
- I agree. Is he on the air yet ? Haven't heard a word about him since he left
CNN. Like Lemon, but TJ was so nice to look at, and listen to.
- Maybe TJ is taking what he can currently get.
Perhaps he needs a steady job and needs the money and cannot wait around for a better offer.
- He seems like a nice guy, I will miss him on CNN eventhough I agree with r7.
- BET? His first report will look like this.

- I wish him well. He'll have a job most people would piss their pants if they got it, and he'll be paid well for it.
I hope he enjoys the gig and brings a lot of his fans to BET.
- he is on MSNBC now
- R23, Yeah, saw him this morning filling in for Alex Witt. So is he still doing his BET talk show?
