• Not dim, but as a journalist still a lightweight. And I don't think he ever tried to be serious. Maybe he should try ESPN or Entertainment Tonight.

• TJ Holmes would look hot on FOX News, which tends to pick anchors based on good looks.

• I liked his deep voice, but he often sounded like he was on the verge of laughter and joking when doing the news, even when the news might be about murdered children.

• He was one of the only professionals on that station. The young journos on CNN tend to impress me more than the old guard and the talking heads. I really liked him.
