Every single award will go to him.
He's quite frankly the best singer I've ever come across; I mean he so [eye roll] totally deserves it; look at him; isn't he so [italic]cute[/italic]; that alone merits an award.
He's not so dreamy.
Why is Justin Beiber dressed like a female astronaut?
By the way, I was being sarcastic.
Nikki Minaj is so overrated, and this "speech" she's giving is even worse.
Bieber was his usual lesbian self.
Kelly Clarkson paraded her HUGE body all over the stage.
J-Lo wore no clothes and embarrassed herself.
OMG, did anyone catch Adam Lambert sitting with his blonde bf guitarist?
Btw, Chris Brown is ugly. Even the blonde hair doesn't help him, and his arm tats are a mess!
Kelly Clarkson looks very Mae West.
Kelly Clarkson's dress brought to you courtesy of S P A N X
Is no one watching these no talent wannabes win awards? You gays are slipping!
Why are you wasting your time watching silly, boring award shows?
Actually pissed that they didn't give "Once Upon a Time"
The male dancers look like they are having a hard time flipping J. Lo around.
Xtina wearing super Spanx.
and they weren't silver
So, Katy Perry won an award for being the female in history with the most number 1 singles from the same album; she didn't thank Russell Brand; and her ex from the Gym Class Heroes is there performing with that Levine guy. Interesting.
Not Lambert's (straight) guitarist; this blond is a Finn who won a reality show in Finland.
Kelly Clarkson is one HUGE lesbian!
Kelly looks cute!
Nikki Minaj is a no talent hack winning awards, what is this world turning to?
When I see the lineup of karaoke singers and their Dollarstore quality songs at this show, I do not feel that illegally downloading their music online is truly a theft. It has to be something stolen of value to be considered theft.
BRUNO MARS LOOKS JUST LIKE JANELLE MONAE! Has anyone ever seen them in the same place?
R19 is right.
What absolute DRECK. And the audience is giving almost everyone a standing ovation??? What the FUCK???
Katy Perry looks like something out of a Blade Runner movie.
RusselL Brand seems too smart to be married to katy perry..maybe they are on shaky ground....
R24, was that a joke?
Damn, I wanted to see Lady GaGa perform! How was she?
Is Hot Chelle Rae a gay group? Never heard of them.
Kelly is starting to look like Rosie now that she's getting porky.
I know DL hates her and I'm not exactly thrilled with her over the years either, but at least Madonna always put on a show when she performed at these things.
The performances seem to rely more on lighting effects than real talent, or to compensate for lack of singing talent.
They messed up on the Mick Jagger piece.
You'll have to be a tad specific, R46. The entire thing sucked.
Taylor Swift over Adele? Are you kidding me?
Welcome to the Taylor Swift Awards! At least Beiber didn't win.
WTF ? The guys stripping to their shorts was stupid and classless. Guess you have to resort to that when you have no talent.
Daughtry has FOUR children and a wife.
Was this a rerun, weren't these awards on just a couple of weeks ago?
i have it on good authority that kelly, does, at the least hook up with chicks. if she's bi or gay, who knows.
That J Lo/Mick Jagger/Will I Am number was a fucking wreck. the Jagger vid was completely off from the vocals.
I don't know who half the folks at these things are anymore. Have no clue what Adele, Taylor or that Bieber thing sing. Who IS Phoebe Price and why does she get invites to these things?
What difference does it make whether you know who the performers are or not?
You either enjoy some of their performances or you do not.
If you happen to enjoy their performance, then you make a note of their name.
If you listened to Sirius XM Radio, you would know who 99 percent of the performers are.
OneRepublic was great!
As were a dozen of the other performers.
I don't know who half the folks at these things are anymore
I'm with you.
Since MTV & VH-1 stopped airing music videos, I have no clue who these people are anymore.
MTV shows 100's of music videos ALL THE TIME.
MTV has several different channels.
There are about 3 or 4 different MTV channels.
A couple of MTV channels show videos all day and all night 24/7
VH1 has two channels. One VH1 station shows videos all the time.
How can you be so out of it?
Do you not have full cable TV? or are you just hopelessly unobservant.
Plus we've told you on Datalounge repeatedly that MTV has multiple channels (at least 3 or 4 channels) which show music videos all the time.
No R58 I haven't seen MTV since the late 80's/early 90's or whenever they switched to all hiphop and reality shows. The few times I have seen it since it's bad music.
Calm down, Mary!
I get both VH1 and VH1-Classics and neither play "videos all the time." VH1-Classics plays videos but they are hardly current. They are either 80s Heavy Metal or 80s pop.
I have MTV and MTV-2 through DirecTV. Neither airs music videos. It is all reality shit.
R59, why do you keep referring to MTV as if it is only one channel?
As I told you, MTV has multiple channels - 3 or 4 channels - a couple of which show music videos all day and all night, 24/7
Are you mentally retarded in that you cannot cognitively realize that MTV and VH1 have multiple channels some of which show music videso all day and all night?
MTVH channel - all music videos 24/7
MTVTR3s channel - all music videos 24/7
MTVJ channel - all music videls 24/7
The above channels are provided by Comcast cable.
And I suspect Time Warner cable has them too.
Just because you have substandard DirectTV programming does not mean you should be so out of it as far as knowledge.
I caught parts of the show including the Red Carpet and it all seemed so dark and dreary. It seemed like nobody wanted to be there.
Is it like the People's Choice where they identify the winners in advance so that winners will show up? I'm sure Taylor Swift was just thrilled about having to take the red eye in order to play her MSG shows tonight and tomorrow.
Just because you have substandard DirectTV programming does not mean you should be so out of it as far as knowledge.
Actually I dumped Comcast for DirecTV.
Comcast didn't even offer MTV2.
Agree, it was all lazers, lighting and projections and lame songs, singing and performing. J-Lo sucks so hard, especially with the Fiat product placement at an awards show. That tired group who won the Sprint new artists award was terrible, the lead singer was flat. I switched over to the local news, the state of the industry is just terrible. Taylor Swift is a big phony acting all surprised, hate her, her atonal singing and her crappy songs.
No need for insults R61. Suffice it to say the few songs I've caught are so bad that I don't care who does them. All these little pop stars cannot sing and if not for electronic wizardry would never make it. Most of them lip synch too. I'll stick with my old Blondie and even older Zeppelin.
This pic and the next one are a WTF?! from me. Shouldn't these rugrats be at home?
r67, the little brunette is Sophia Grace from the UK, who did a mean Nikki Minaj on the "Ellen" show. So she and her friend were rewarded with AMA tix.
Taylor Swift claims that she had no idea she was going it win 10 awards. Therefore, she was really surprised...and figured Justine Bieber was going to win everything.
Kelly Clarkson took every single one of the other performers on stage to school last night. And from the reviews of her performance today, it will be considered a legendary tv moment. Unbelievable voice singing LIVE, charisma, artistry and sizzling entertainment wrapped up in four minutes. It's being compared to her breakout moment on American Idol singing the Big Band, "Stuff Like That There."
I'm sorry I missed Kelly's performance. I like her a lot.
I caught a bit of Taylor S. on 60 minutes which aired before the awards show. The interviewer asked why Taylor always appears so shocked when she wins an award or gets positive reactions to her performances. Taylor said that she's honestly shocked EVERY time and that it's not an act. Whatever.
I missed the AMAs when Janet would come on and turn it out. These new crop of chicks could only wish.
Kelly Clarkson is the *only* "Ai" finalist with talent *and* longevity. Next year will be a decade since won and received her first #1 single. She's also taken risks and stood up to her record label by releasing the music *she* wanted to. How many of today's pop tarts would know who Mike Watt Of fIREHOSE even was, much less seek him out to collaborate with?
Taylor Swift's aw shucks routine is starting to become grating. She was so over-the-top in her SHOCK last night that you couldn't help but roll your eyes. And if she genuinely is surprised, I guess it's possible that she also has no clue that Taylor Lautner is gay.
i think Taylor Swift is a HUGE phony. All this down-home "I-don't-deserve-this" shit is starting to wear thin with a lot of people. She showed her true colors with the ridiculous stunt-bearding she did last year with Toothy. Maybe Kanye was right after all.
I agree, Taylor Swift needs to knock it off with the "Oh my GOSH! I WON???!!!" antics. It's older than Methuesela.
Taylor Swift's aw shucks routine is starting to become grating. She was so over-the-top in her SHOCK last night that you couldn't help but roll your eyes.
Leslie Stahl called her out on that shit on 60 minutes last night.
Sorry but I thought Kelly Clarkson sounded bad and her song sucked, and she's fat to boot. Also she's not interesting, doesn't have a unique style, her material is lousy and she's boring.
Yes, Kelly Clarkson was fabulous and sizzling. last night. Love her voice!
And I loved her dancers dressed as 1930's photographers with old-fashioned cameras, and the whole 1930's stage scene.
I'm not a fan of Chris Brown, but I thought his performance of two songs was dazzling and sizzling too.
He started out with a very hot ballad which he sang with great emotion and skill, and then went into a very hot uptempo dance number which dazzled.
He definitely is very talented.
Kelly Clarkson has one of the very best voices on the planet and of all time.
I love Kelly Clarkson's hit duet with Jason Aldean called 'Don't You Want to Stay'.
Incredibly great, powerful song of poignant, poetic lyrics....
and sung with such power and emotion by Kelly and Aldean.
See the duet below.
I don't think Clarkson's voice is good at all. She's boring. Sounds like a jingle singer. And she's fatty fat fat!
I(t was pretty boring..wasn't it a few years ago that Pink did that amazing number hanging from a thread? And no Gaga performance? I felt like I was watching the hip hop awards
(R63), I don't know about the Grammys, but at awards shows like the AMA, MTV, etc. the winners definitely know in advance.
Hated that stupid Pink number, she wasn't singing live and if you want to indulge your acrobat fantasy, join the circus, the music world won't miss you!
R85, P!nk did that performance during the Grammys. And yeah, it was amazing.
She was singing live, R87.
The Earth is round.
And so is Kelly Clarkson.
Carrie Underwood (although I'm not convinved about the Earth)
R84, you already said all of that at R79.
Great show so far!
The show sucked ass, but at least Carrie Underwood's husband looked hot.
What a fake show. The only reason they exist, is ABC went to Penis Clark and said, "We couldn't buy the rights to the Grammys (a lame imitation of the Oscars) and asked him to start their own show.
That's true, that's why they exist. They're not a real awards show. Of course the Granmmys barely count. The Oscars are the only TRUE prestigious awards show for entertainment.
And even then they're not legitimate awards like a Nobel Prize or a Pulitzer.
"Oh my God. I'm back. I'm home. All the time, it was... We finally really did it ... You Maniacs! You blew it up! Ah, damn you! God damn you all to hell!"
We are switching to the new platform for The DataLounge this weekend. All of our mobile users have been using it for over a week and all first time users have been using it for about a month - which adds up to well over one million users. So we're ready to end this phase of the testing and move everybody to the new site. (more)
And yes, we've changed the look and some of how it operates.
Yes, we know you just *hate* it in well in advance.
Yes, we know we suck.
Yes, we are the biggest suckers that ever sucked.
But it was time for a change and with the huge shift to mobile it was long overdue. We've taken this opportunity not only to update the look but also make major changes under the hood (or "bonnet" if you're either British or pretentious or both). And we have to prepare for 2016 - a presidential election year where we can normally expect to see a 60% jump in traffic (yes, we've seen 5 presidential elections so far…Christ we're old).
The site has a bunch - nay, plethora - of new features which will make the site more usable: better search, the ability to ignore posters and threads, see link previews, to pick up a thread where you left off, spam and malware filtering and more.
If you want you can go explore and see for yourself, Click here.
And while running the tests we've noticed two interesting reactions to the new system - people are spending more time on the site and more people that come stay around longer and look at more stuff. Both good things. Yay!
Possibly we've not slain all the dragons and there will be issues that come up during the switchover. There's a help button in the lower right hand corner of the page which you can use to send us bug reports.
Please include as much information about the hardware (PC, Mac, Tablet, Phone etc), operating system (Windows, Mac OS, Android, iOS etc) and browser (Chrome, Safari, Opera, Internet Explorer etc) that you are using as possible to help us replicate and fix the problem.
Please note that complaints about colors, fonts, icons and the like are not "bugs" - they are design choices that we've made and we expect one or two cases of world-class bitching. But they won't actually cause headaches, scurvy, heart attacks, Restless Leg Syndrome, Morgellon's Disease or the vapors (but have your smelling salts at hand just in case).
Talking to DataLounge servers. Please wait a moment...
