Colin Quinn

Just come out, already.

by Anonymousreply 61November 17, 2019 5:08 AM

Didn't he come out as "bi" years ago?

by Anonymousreply 1November 13, 2011 3:53 PM

Never could stand that guy. That gravelly voice always grated on my nerves. He seems so full of himself.

by Anonymousreply 2November 13, 2011 3:57 PM

yes please

by Anonymousreply 3November 13, 2011 4:12 PM

Is this for real? I've been on DL for some years, and never even heard about this rumor. But always thought he was sexy. But then I've always liked Irish men.

by Anonymousreply 4November 13, 2011 4:37 PM

I used to work with his longtime gf, Jennifer.

I don't think Colin's bi or gay at all. What an odd rumor, even for DL.

by Anonymousreply 5November 13, 2011 5:18 PM

this summer he admitted hooking up with a transexual prostitute.

by Anonymousreply 6November 13, 2011 5:19 PM

New DL trend: every celebrity, great or medium or small, is gay.

by Anonymousreply 7November 13, 2011 5:20 PM

You have an odd definition of "new," r7.

by Anonymousreply 8November 13, 2011 5:24 PM

Looks like there's a kernel of truth to this. Wouldn't consider preteen touching between guys to be "gay" but whatever.

by Anonymousreply 11November 13, 2011 6:09 PM

it's true. he's gay. very under-the-gaydar, tho

by Anonymousreply 12November 13, 2011 6:09 PM

I like working class irish guys, so I hope so

by Anonymousreply 13November 13, 2011 6:11 PM

bumpita

by Anonymousreply 14March 11, 2012 10:42 PM

r7, every celebrity is gay on datalounge and always has been. as soon as you type their names they become gay. no evidence that they're not gay is ever accepted.

by Anonymousreply 15March 11, 2012 10:50 PM

So true, R15. I could not have said it any better.

by Anonymousreply 16March 11, 2012 11:57 PM

I'd suck it.

by Anonymousreply 17March 12, 2012 6:27 AM

During his stint on SNL, Quinn could never get through a segment of Weekend Update without stumbling over his words. Most of the time he had no idea what he was reading on the teleprompter, emphasizing the wrong words, so his sentences made no sense.

by Anonymousreply 18March 12, 2012 7:11 AM

He said on Howard Stern years ago that he let a priest blow him when he was in his late teens (19, I think?), but nice to see all the people in this thread acting like calling him possibly bi is absurd wishful thinking when he told millions of people on the radio that a guy blew him.

by Anonymousreply 19March 12, 2012 7:12 AM

r17 is Colin's priest.

by Anonymousreply 20March 12, 2012 7:13 AM

I miss "Tough Crowd" with Colin Quinn. I am probably like the only person who remembers that show but as much as I love the intelligent satire of Daily Show/Colbert Report, it was kind of fun having that show as a place for semi-intelligent stand-ups to just bitch about the news. Definitely was better than Tosh.0 is now.

by Anonymousreply 21March 12, 2012 7:54 AM

Bumpita

by Anonymousreply 22May 2, 2012 5:30 AM

We don't get it here r21, and I can only find excerpts on youtube without any context.

I do remember it being satirized as a third rate platform for fourth rate comics.

Rich Vos, Bob Kelly, etc.

I always thought of him as oddly asexual-which could equal the closet, I guess.

by Anonymousreply 23May 2, 2012 6:04 AM

I always thought Colin was kind if hot. But then, I know I have strange taste in men.

by Anonymousreply 24May 2, 2012 2:52 PM

Loose, shameless, underrated and probably bi kick-ass NYC comic. A relief from the tweezed, underweight industry queens currently in favor as hosts.

by Anonymousreply 25May 2, 2012 3:21 PM

I'd let him top me.

by Anonymousreply 26May 2, 2012 5:36 PM

Tough Crowd was horrible. Quinn is one of those right wingers who thinks being conservative is edgy. He had the same fucking know-nothings on all the time - assholes like Jim Norton. Who is Jim Norton, you ask?

Exactly.

Quinn is just another Irish bigot. You know the kind. They have "black friends" like Patrice O'Neal. Who was Patrice O'Neal, you ask?

Exactly

by Anonymousreply 27May 2, 2012 6:02 PM

Another right wing fucktard posing as a libertarian.

by Anonymousreply 28May 2, 2012 6:05 PM

He used to be the head writer on SNL. It improved by leaps and bounds when Tina Fey replaced him.

by Anonymousreply 29May 2, 2012 6:06 PM

"Tough Crowd was horrible. Quinn is one of those right wingers who thinks being conservative is edgy. He had the same fucking know-nothings on all the time - assholes like Jim Norton. Who is Jim Norton, you ask?"

Oh, shut the fuck up, you ass. Quinn definitely is NOT "right wing (a right-winger who goes on Howard Stern and talks about getting blown by a priest?!)." And the comedians on his show weren't exactly household names (not many stand-up comedians are) but they were pretty damned funny. Most people who know something about stand-up comedy (obviously you don't know a damned thing about it) had heard of the comedians who were on his show. Quite a few of them had specials on Comedy Central and some of them even had tv shows on that channel.

I know who Jim Norton is. I know who Patrice O'Neal was. Don't assume everyone is as ignorant as you are.

by Anonymousreply 30May 3, 2012 4:34 PM

He is not gay. This website is so fucked. As others have noted, why can't some of you wishful thinking and DELUDED queens try to be a bit more realistic with your proclamations? NOT EVERYONE IS GAY. Plenty of people are but this website just makes EVERYONE gay and it dilutes any real good gossip or discussion about people.

This is a PREJUDICED site. Seriously.

by Anonymousreply 31May 3, 2012 4:56 PM

Someone please direct r31 to the fainting sofa.

by Anonymousreply 32May 4, 2012 7:56 PM

Gay or no?

by Anonymousreply 33May 24, 2012 4:07 PM

Well he never sucked MY dick.

by Anonymousreply 34May 24, 2012 4:08 PM

He is very sexy

by Anonymousreply 35October 5, 2014 1:46 PM

He was horrendous on SNL.

by Anonymousreply 36October 5, 2014 4:25 PM

He was at his peak on Remote Control--and that was what, 25 years ago?

by Anonymousreply 37October 5, 2014 4:29 PM

This is the guy from Remote Control back in the day?? Sexy??

by Anonymousreply 38October 5, 2014 4:32 PM

CQ from his Remote Control days.

He's out already. Heterosexual!

by Anonymousreply 40October 5, 2014 8:01 PM

I was a contestant on Remote Control. I can't remember if Colin Quinn was on then too. I know Ken Ober was the host. He's dead now.

by Anonymousreply 41October 5, 2014 10:21 PM

I liked Ken Ober. What did he die of?

by Anonymousreply 42October 5, 2014 10:31 PM

Seems he died of the flu at home after feeling ill the day before. Wow, only 52 years old. Fuck. He was nice to me at the taping and seemed to know my hometown pretty well.

by Anonymousreply 43October 6, 2014 1:20 AM

Lucky priest

by Anonymousreply 44October 10, 2014 6:58 AM

I can't find a good picture of his ass...

by Anonymousreply 45October 31, 2014 11:41 PM

Bump

by Anonymousreply 46August 3, 2015 5:09 PM

[quote]I can't find a good picture of his ass...

Because such a thing doesn't exist.

In a Venn diagram consisting of "good pictures" and "pictures of Colin Quinn's ass," there is no overlap whatsoever.

by Anonymousreply 47August 3, 2015 5:13 PM

Do you know something about Colin we don't OP?

by Anonymousreply 48August 3, 2015 5:19 PM

He's so unfunny it hurts. He gets gigs because he's friends with more successful, actually funny comics.

by Anonymousreply 49August 3, 2015 5:35 PM

[quote] Seems he died of the flu at home after feeling ill the day before. Wow, only 52 years old.

Drug overdose.

He was too unknown for a tox test to be released to the public. Seriously, if the person who does your autopsy and top tests doesn't know you were famous, that person just releases the results to the next of kin and the DOH. You wouldn't notify police if it was an overdose of legally prescribed drugs and the person wasn't driving or piloting something at the time and caused an accident.

Comics are always dying of drug overdoses.

by Anonymousreply 50August 3, 2015 5:42 PM

No new gossip about Colin?

by Anonymousreply 51August 3, 2015 7:20 PM

On WWHL he said his gf was in audience

by Anonymousreply 52August 3, 2015 7:39 PM

Hey r50, how do you know this, or are you just guessing?

by Anonymousreply 53August 3, 2015 8:05 PM

Don't know if he is gay, but it's something his fellow comedians seem to tease him about. Listened to a roast from 2003 by the late Greg Giraldo on YouTube. He taunts Colin over his "gay hand movements" when they worked together on Tough Crowd. I believe a direct quote was: "I couldn't believe how gaylike Colin was, every time he picked something off the table it looked like Mario Cantone at an origami class". Well, made me laugh anyway.

[bold]Colin Quinn to Star in CNN’s First-Ever Comedy Special[/bold]

[quote]CNN is getting into the business of comedy specials, and it’s kicking things off with Colin Quinn. The network announced today that it’s added a new hour-long special from Quinn titled [italic]Red State Blue State[/italic], a presentation of his Off Broadway show of the same name that ran in New York earlier this year. In the special, Quinn “brings the funny tackling the absurdities, hypocrisies and calamities on both sides of the political divide.”

[quote]“Everything that occurred in this country, to [the people on the left], is still under the cloud of this racist, sexist [agenda]. Nobody’s denying that part — I’m not denying that part — but that’s not all of anybody’s whole story,” Quinn told Vulture about the show back in January. “And then the other side, the right, is like, ‘No, we’re all good.’ So there’re these two sides of ignorant, definitive truths, [and] in a world of subjective truth, they think there’s objective truth. And that bothers me when anyone does it.”

So, he's one of those libertarian retards? CNN is really scraping the bottom of the barrel. Was Andrew Dice Clay not available?

by Anonymousreply 56May 9, 2019 7:02 PM

He's not gay, not that there's anything wrong with it. Lewis Black however...

by Anonymousreply 57May 9, 2019 7:07 PM

He's dabbled.

by Anonymousreply 58November 17, 2019 2:46 AM

Was his broadway show any good?

by Anonymousreply 59November 17, 2019 4:24 AM

Quinn has no problem admitting he messed around with men in his youth.

But he's not gay-oriented, so give him a break. Most bisexuals hide it, especially if they're public figures. Don't be assholes.

by Anonymousreply 60November 17, 2019 5:04 AM

Terrible comic. One of the worst ever.

The second-worst SNL Weekend Update anchor, after Charles Rocket.

GO AWAY, NO-TALENT BOY.
