I don't get it. How does she look so good? She's in her 60s.
If it were just plastic surgery, why don't other celebrities who are decades younger look as good? She's hardly A-list so it's not like she can afford better surgeons than, say, Madonna.
HOw the hell would we know? I suspect she is a vampire who baths in the blood of a virgin, which is supposed to retain youthful looks per Coast to Coast late night radio.
Synthetic skin. Seriously.
Fairchild probably takes better care of herself than Madonna does - lifelong yo-yo dieting, chronic insomnia, obsessive working out, hardcore neurotic ambition has aged Madonna.
Plus, Fairchild never had children. The relatives I have who never had kids seem to age better.
Btw, on her Wiki page, it states that Fairchild has been kidnapped and held against her will TWO times in her life (in the 70s)! Anyone know about this?
Morgan has not appeared in public in years. She has found a double of herself, who is around 35 years old. This double appears in public as Morgan Fairchild.
I met her, and while she's indeed stunning, I did notice wire lifts under her eyebrows.
Morgan's had some good work done. And up close, you can see it.
I just googled her and she looks ridiculous. Frozen faced and absurd. The difference between her and Madonna is that she's fatter and doesn't have Madonna's scraggy arms and scary exercise-induced veins.
I also met her about five years ago and she is beautiful in person. She has had work done and her face shows her age up close. I recall something weird about under her eyes but I cannot recall what it was. Her makeup was perfect and her hair, too.
She was the nicest person, though. Sweet and thoughtful. I left with a little crush on her.
She is also very politically astute. She took over for one of the hosts on Air America around election time last Presidential election and I was lucky enough to hear her host the show. She is very intelligent as well as good looking.
I've always heard that women who don't have kids age better than those who do. And it's true from what I can see - bearing and raising kids takes a huge toll.
R8, anything to give you an indication the gay rumors are true (other than your crush, which might just mean you picked up a little gaydar)
She's fair-skinned so she's has probably stayed out of the sun. It's a balance of taking care of yourself, a little cosmetic surgery, dieting but not too much and genetics.
Fairchild looked great a few years on the ultra-camp telenovela Fashion House.
Maybe just great surgery and lighting but she looked wonderful--better (and younger) than her co-star Bo Derek although Morgan is actually the older of the two.
Who else could rock this?
Turban: check (and SNAP!)
I "discovered" her in 1973, when she played Jennifer Pace, nutso blonde having an affair with Jo's sister Eunice's husband John Wyatt, & she eventually murdered Eunice. She was strikingly beautiful, of course, but she was also chilling as the crazed younger woman obsessed with the married man. I was impressed & expected to see lots more of her than I have.
Lesbian on DL only.
R20, I never saw much of the actual show but it seemed like they ran commercials about her constantly on CBS. I remember some big fight and her screaming, "Lies all lies!" and then crashing through a sliding glass door.

I remember a spectacular scene where she fell through a plate-glass door.
Madonna has had a much more stressful life, what with having a thriving and successful career and all. Morgan Fairchild hasn't worked in...I don't even know how long. It seems like she's one of those people who are famous for being famous. I don't even know one thing she's done.
She's also pretty smart by any measure, but by Hollywood standards she's an Einstein.
Loved Flamingo Road (early 80s). Always rooted for her bad, bad girl Constance Caryle, never ever saint, ex-hooker Lane Ballou.
1:50 mark.... Morgan and Mark Harmon.

My mom watched that soap when I was a kid, I think she shot Eunice when she was in a boat. Remember watching it at the neighbors during coffee hour.
Loved her in Flamingo Road!
Donna Mills is the real revelation. Why not start a thread for THAT goddess?
I got into Search For Tomorrow for a while in the summer of '75 when Jennifer crashed through the sliding door. She had light red hair back then, the same color as Ann-Margret's which I thought looked really good on her.
always thought she was the cat's pajamas. something very very likable about her.
She just seems like the coolest person ever.
As for looking so great at her age - of course she's had work done, but genetics must also have something to do with it. Also, she's never had drug or alcohol issues and I don't believe she's ever smoked.
On SFT, when her character Jennifer murdered beloved heroine Eunice, it really caused shockwaves. Viewers were up in arms.
Youtube really is amazing:
I watched Flamingo Road when I was a kid. I loved Constance!!! It's because of her that Flamingo Road is even remembered at all. And I remember getting so excited when Constance and Sam Curtis had a brief fling in a cheap motel one episode:
The last time I saw her she was playing Sandra Bernhard's lesbian lover Marla on Roseanne.
[quote]Starring DACK RAMBO
She was a real hoot with Bo Derek on the all time cheeze fest Fashion House. And looked fabulous.
Who's got some gossip about my high school fave.
The reason is that she always looked 35 years old. Look at her in "The Initiation of Sarah"-she comes off as years older (in both bearing and demeanor) than the other actresses. So it's hard to see her as aging when she always came across as a certain age.
Know it all
Flamingo Road ROCKED
I always wanted Constance to forgive Lute Mae.
There was a movie I saw on TV prior to Natalie Wood's death in which Morgan Fairchild also appeared. It was a good movie and took place on a cruise ship.
The thing that stands out in my memory about it is that the ship filled with water (don't remember why) and Natalie Wood's character drowned in her room. There was a scene showing her clothed and floating in water. Creepily prescient it was.
Does anyone else remember that movie or that scene?
In the 70s when she was new, she would stay at the Plaza hotel by Central Park and phone the Post and Daily news to send photogs over at 1PM when she'd be leaving the hotel. They never came and she was later found in the Walnut Room pretty sauced.
She has a self-portrait in her attic.
Actually, she did Old Navy commercials a few years ago. That's the only thing I know her from.
She has the original LA nose. It's been copied ever since the 80's.
sHUT UP, R55. She doesn't drink.
She looks incredible. And thank god she didn't get the inflated duck lips.
What? My biological mother(who I thought was dead) is a whore.
>>R6>>I met her, and while she's indeed stunning, I did notice wire lifts under her eyebrows.
What are wire lifts?
is it like the lifestyle lift?
Keeps her ears covered

"The Memory of Eva Ryker"
Nose is good, especially for a 70s one. A little small and thin but they're still done like that for many.
Breasts are ridic though, not badly done but OTT. Either way she was always stunning, I thought she was perfect when I was a kid.
I loved her in that TV movie parody Based on an Untrue Story.
I loved her as the bitch in The Initation of Sarah. (TV movie from the 70's)
[quote]Plus, Fairchild never had children. The relatives I have who never had kids seem to age better.
Yep, she didn't stress her body and she didn't have the stress of raising and worrying about the brats.
Thank you #65. I read the movie was pulled from syndication because it dealt with a woman who had nightmares about drowning. Natalie Wood played two parts, the woman who drowned and her daughter, less an a year before she died.
"I read the movie was pulled from syndication because it dealt with a woman who had nightmares about drowning."
You mean there was actually a time when television had a conscience?
So ... is she gay?
The character of Constance Weldon(Flamingo Road) ranked #16 on E's most wicked women in primetime.
But, I PROTEST. Constance wasn't really evil, just bad! And spoiled.
No, r71, she is not gay. Lesbians like to think that because of her character on Roseanne and because she never had children.
However, she is straight. As Morgan has said... "I've had my share of lovers" and I'm here to tell you that they have all been male.
In her flamingo Road days, she was hot and heavy with cameraman Craig Denault. Even dedicated her 80s makeup and beauty book to him.
Glycerine. Gallons of it. And a little touch of star quality.
Just saw her in a terrible gay-themed movie. She looked pretty good.
[quote]She was a real hoot with Bo Derek on the all time cheeze fest Fashion House. And looked fabulous.
Fashion House is the best campy show that is almost totally unknown, even among gays. I've rarely ever heard it mentioned on DL and it was all beautiful men and bitchy divas.
Derek was Maria Gianni, a prettier Donatella Vercase, running a maison de couture. Her archenemy Sophia was played by MF. Dynasty had one catfight a season, but Fashion House had one every other day. It was indeed a hoot.
And though Bo was younger in real life, Morgan photographed better.
