Who was your favorite "Charmed One"?

• Piper, hands down (no pun intended). What glorious hair she had! Plus, Holly acted rings around anyone else on the show.

• I couldn''t watch it because it was so unrealistic. Demons could just appear in their house at any moment and they had to shoot them with beams out of their hands to kill them? How could you ever relax at home? What if a demon appeared while you''re in the shower? while you''re on the toilet? while you''re sleeping? You would be constantly on edge but they didn''t seem to be. They seemed carefree. So unrealistic as to how someone would act in that situation.

• I liked both Drew Fuller and Brian Krause (Leo).

• Brian did pack on the pounds. So did Holly, even before she got pregnant, but she looked hot with a fuller body.

• Brian lost a ton of weight for the final season. He looked damned fine in Season 8.

• Holly really has aged.

• Holly looks older, but I think she looks good. Milano still looks great. McGowan looked great until she got unnecessary work done and now she looks bad. But Doherty has aged horribly. She looks old and haggard and has for a while now.

• The show jumped the shark when Prue left. Shannen owns a percentage of the show, so she is set for life.

• TNT is airing the Doherty episodes now and it is vastly superior to the later seasons.

• R26 that was when the original creator Constance Burg was still calling the shots. Once she left, along with Shannen, the show became a supernatural soap. The first three years with Shannen were the best. She played the big sister very well.

• Burge ran the first 2 seasons and then Brad Kern took over in season 3. I thought that was when the show really got good. The seasons with Burge were basically monster of the week storylines. It was Kern who added season long arcs and ongoing storylines.

• Squinty, "The Craft" theme, and the house - in that order. Pru should have eaten her sisters' hearts to absorb their power. It would have been a better, more realistic show.

• I could never figure out why they used The Smiths for theme music, then had no reference to gay people in the show. Bait and switch.

• Show sucked after SD left. Also, it would have been better for syndication to avoid the arcs but all of TV has been arc-crazy for around 15 years now. Even sitcoms have arcs now! (See the loathesome "How I Met Your Mother.")

• I gave up on Chramed when that blond whore from TBBT joined as a regular.

• What's wrong with arcs? The show lasted eight years, which is a long time by today's standards.

• I think they all look good. Just remember that they're around 40. We can't expect them to look young forever. XD Personally I liked Piper and Phoebe best, but I did miss the serious action from the first three seasons. After Paige came it felt like she added more comedy.

• Alyssa still looks like she's in her 20s, or at worse early 30s.

• r11, what were you expecting from a show about 3 witches? Southland or some other gritty realism. I liked it until Prue got killed. Then I kinda lost interest.

• Are you serious? She's gorgeous.

• I just rewatched Primose Empath from the third season. Prue tries to help a shut in Empath, but he turns out to be a demon who gives Piper the curse if the Empath. Fun show, and the charmed ones looked great in their midriff revealing outfits.

• The show was never the same after Prue left. I really felt that was when it jumped the shark.

• HMC may have had her eyebrow fixed, but she really should have had her teeth fixed. Those lower choppers and her underbite were horrible and distracting. Julian MacMahon was my favorite - HOT HOT HOT!

• Buffy had hit a few months prior and X-Files was still going strong. Supernatural storylines were "in" and Charmed fit the mold perfectly.

I guess it turns out any woman who dates a member of Marilyn Manson's band turns out to be a malevolent cunt because Alyson Hannigan who is said to have been the uber slag on the Buffy set dated Twiggy Ramirez from his band as well...I hope Dita Von Teese is nice.

• [R58] Rose isn't even hot anymore either. She had her face messed with and now she looks a mess! Also forgot to add, Charmed had one of the best theme songs ever! "How Soon Is Now". I actually always thought that particular song was almost too serious for the dramedy style of Charmed, but still a very good song.

• R62, it's Love Spit Love's version of How Soon is Now?, which was originally used in the film "The Craft", which I think was the inspiration for "Charmed".

• Interesting that so many think that after Shannen left, the series went downhill. I thought the same thing and I remember reading how a lot of the writers and production staff commented that when Shannen was on the show, they'd get pissed at her because she would open her mouth and tell them what she thought worked and what didn't work. They said she was a hassle and would make them rewrite stuff so things would at least seem more realistic, etc. They'd get pissed at her and then realize after the fact she was right. After she left, the show totally went downhill and campy and I wonder if Shannen ever felt any vindication and laughed at the rest of them.

• Horrible show. Horrible acting. None of the sisters, except maybe Rose, is an actress in any way. Horrible scripts. A third-rate Buffy. Worst, although the show took place in San Francisco, there were never any gays on it. How can you live in SF and not run into a gay even now and then? Homophobic piece of crap.

• The house that MJ and the zombies corner Ola Rae in in "Thriller" is in the same LA neighborhood as the CHARMED house...it's a couple of houses down from it, to be exact.

• They could have brought Shannenack in the final episode. Have her be the sisters' new Whitelighter since Leo became human. But the producer said he didn't want the final episode to be all about Shannen. That's dumb since it would have added a nice bookend to the show. Apparently in the ongoing comic, Prue is back via reincarnation.

• Say what you will about Shannen but anytime she leaves a show, it suffers. "90210" jumped the shark when she left. Dylan choosing Kelly has to be one of the worst writer mistakes ever. Jennie Garth sucks the life out of any show she's on.

I worked at the CW during the time and Holly was hated by production crew. She grew a big head and was so demanding, a lot of staff were wishing Shannen would come back.
