No, but he jumped off theTallehatchy bridge for having a gay affair.
When I was a teen I used to jack off to Robby''s locker room scene in "Running Brave."
Anyone remember those shirtless shots that were in After Dark? Shirtless wearing denim cut off and showed his bare feets. I think it was around the time he did a movie with Paul Newman. Sorry forgot the title.
I thought Robby Benson was married to Glynnis O''Connor ... no?
[quote]Oh my god, I just realized his wife was the crazy bitch in that Meatloaf video!!%0D\
She replaced Maureen McGovern who had replaced Linda Rondstadt in THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE on Broadway. That''s where she met Robbie who was also in the show.
Nah, Glynnis did the nasty with Jodee Foster.
I always thought that beefy bully in "One On One" was hot.
JEREMY is one of the sweetest movies I have ever seen. It is one of my personal favorites.
I thought he was super cute, but he played Bobbie Joe like a mental retard from a Tennessee Williams dinner theater
R17 - you have it backwards. McGovern replaced DeVito. McGovern had the longest run as Mabel.
I dated a cousin of Robby''s about 30 years ago. He was about the same age as Robby, but the cousin looked more like Scott Jacoby than Robby Benson. The cousin was a hottie; IIRC he didn''t share any dirt, gay or otherwise, about Robbie.
He had super-crotch in this movie (DIE LAUGHING-1980), skip to 2:27.
[quote]Ugggh, the wife aged terribly.
Karla's aged wonderfully, she just has grey hair. And they have been head over heels in love with each other for over thirty years.
always thought of him, matthew broderick and jon cryer as almost the same person..
Cryer has NEVER even been close to hot, and Broderick had some occasions of hotness, but he's never been nearly as hot as Benson. Even now, Benson is clearly the best looking one.
I do wish that he would get a proper haircut, and reduce carbs a bit.
I thought someone said Robby Benson is gay?
He never did anything for me.BTW, that long hair as he gets older is completely awful! Guys don't understand that when they age, they should have short hair because it makes them look so much better and younger! Does anyone know why he had a heart attack at such a young age? That is horrible!
Of course the main problem with the pic of the wife in r10 is that she's posing comically/strange, but she does look just like a Cenobite from the Hellbound movies.
this is driving me crazy... and I can't seem to find an answer using any usual searches. Does anyone know the name of the movie in which Robby Benson's character lived in the crawl space/walls of a home (his mom or grandmother dies) and he stays there in the walls and another family moves in and he is obsessed with the daughter (watches her through little holes) and even paints an elaborate mural of her in his 'room' .
You are thinking of Bad Ronald with Scott Jacoby.
New photo of Robby Benson. I think he looks good. Click on photo #12.
"Oh my God. I'm back. I'm home. All the time, it was... We finally really did it ... You Maniacs! You blew it up! Ah, damn you! God damn you all to hell!"
We are switching to the new platform for The DataLounge this weekend. All of our mobile users have been using it for over a week and all first time users have been using it for about a month - which adds up to well over one million users. So we're ready to end this phase of the testing and move everybody to the new site. (more)
And yes, we've changed the look and some of how it operates.
Yes, we know you just *hate* it in well in advance.
Yes, we know we suck.
Yes, we are the biggest suckers that ever sucked.
But it was time for a change and with the huge shift to mobile it was long overdue. We've taken this opportunity not only to update the look but also make major changes under the hood (or "bonnet" if you're either British or pretentious or both). And we have to prepare for 2016 - a presidential election year where we can normally expect to see a 60% jump in traffic (yes, we've seen 5 presidential elections so far…Christ we're old).
The site has a bunch - nay, plethora - of new features which will make the site more usable: better search, the ability to ignore posters and threads, see link previews, to pick up a thread where you left off, spam and malware filtering and more.
If you want you can go explore and see for yourself, Click here.
And while running the tests we've noticed two interesting reactions to the new system - people are spending more time on the site and more people that come stay around longer and look at more stuff. Both good things. Yay!
Possibly we've not slain all the dragons and there will be issues that come up during the switchover. There's a help button in the lower right hand corner of the page which you can use to send us bug reports.
Please include as much information about the hardware (PC, Mac, Tablet, Phone etc), operating system (Windows, Mac OS, Android, iOS etc) and browser (Chrome, Safari, Opera, Internet Explorer etc) that you are using as possible to help us replicate and fix the problem.
Please note that complaints about colors, fonts, icons and the like are not "bugs" - they are design choices that we've made and we expect one or two cases of world-class bitching. But they won't actually cause headaches, scurvy, heart attacks, Restless Leg Syndrome, Morgellon's Disease or the vapors (but have your smelling salts at hand just in case).
Talking to DataLounge servers. Please wait a moment...
