NPH's opening number was the best ever.%0D %0D Here are some of the evening's fashions too.
Neil Patrick Harris should be named the permanent Tony Award host

agree

OP, you must be drunk!
by Anonymous | reply 4 | June 13, 2011 7:33 PM |
Okay, he wasn't perfect. But he was pretty damn good.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | June 13, 2011 7:36 PM |
It really was a fantastic show last night!
by Anonymous | reply 7 | June 13, 2011 7:38 PM |
The Tony Awards are the best award show of the bunch. Nothing even compares. The other award shows should take notice.%0D %0D This year's Tonys broadcast was the best ever. %0D %0D Now that's entertainment!
by Anonymous | reply 8 | June 13, 2011 7:44 PM |
It was a magical night.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | June 13, 2011 7:47 PM |
I agree, OP. It would help ensure that a B-list talent continues to host second-rate awards shows instead of hosting the Oscars--an idea that some deluded people float every fucking year.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | June 13, 2011 7:53 PM |
Talented guy. He needs something better than a so-so sit com.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | June 13, 2011 8:45 PM |
Talent evident in the closing. The opening; not so much.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | June 13, 2011 8:52 PM |
Howard Stern did a spot on analysis of the the Tonys and Broadway in general. Basically saying that both are shit and that anyone could write a Broadway musical and then proceeded to prove his point.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | June 13, 2011 8:58 PM |
Then that sleaze bag, long haired, little dick ought to get to writing, r13.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | June 13, 2011 9:50 PM |
He did two songs right on the spot r14. That's what "then proceeded to prove his point" meant.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | June 13, 2011 10:06 PM |
R10. Some of the so-called A-listers who have hosted the Oscars have bombed. %0D %0D Besides, the Broadway community isn't defined by A-list, B-list, etc. It's about the performance. Simply because these people are not all household names doesn't mean a thing. It's a different medium and a different level of performance. And by the way, the Tonys is a hell of a lot better than any other award show, the Tony

NPH was great, I agree, but I really don't think he was any better than Sean Hayes last year.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | June 13, 2011 10:14 PM |
R17: Scarlett Johannson has a Tony. For Best Featured Access.
I rest my case.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | June 13, 2011 10:23 PM |
R10. And Natalie Portman has an Oscar for best actress. %0D %0D I rest my case.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | June 13, 2011 10:36 PM |
Best featured access? What the hell did she have to do to get that?
by Anonymous | reply 21 | June 13, 2011 11:04 PM |
All I know is that I'd put NPH's heels behind his ears and make sweet love to him, damn that man does it for me... if only.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | June 13, 2011 11:08 PM |
NPH is too, too perfect. He needs to be caught doing something unseemly.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | June 13, 2011 11:11 PM |
Only if it's me, r23.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | June 13, 2011 11:15 PM |
"...it's not just for gays anymore!"; then "The Normal Heart" wins every category for which it received nominations. hmmmm .....
by Anonymous | reply 25 | June 13, 2011 11:23 PM |
Yeeeeh, OP.
Every geek loves doogie howser.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | June 14, 2011 12:58 AM |
Harris and Jackman should co-host the Oscars.%0D %0D They're adorable together, and they'd be good for ratings, as the entire audience is made up of women and gays.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | June 14, 2011 2:48 AM |
bump
by Anonymous | reply 28 | July 11, 2014 4:15 PM |
Yes, he should
