Is she family?
Robin Weigert

Yes and not, apparently, well liked but I think she is fine.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | May 17, 2011 5:44 PM |
Who cares? She has beady little eyes set too close together.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | May 17, 2011 5:55 PM |
I've loved her in everything she's been in. R1, can you say more about her not being well liked? Is she just moody or bossy on the set, or is she not a nice person off the set either?
by Anonymous | reply 3 | May 17, 2011 7:06 PM |
isn't she with Keith Carradine?
by Anonymous | reply 4 | May 17, 2011 7:24 PM |
Calamity Jane from Deadwood? I thought she was out.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | May 17, 2011 9:54 PM |
Her acting has deteriorated into a series of smirks and expressions of false concern.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | June 9, 2011 9:05 PM |
Moved in with Liz Sarnoff, former producer of LOST ( and scion of the Sarnoff dynasty) and...got a role on...LOST. They broke up. Now she seems to be playing anguished mothers on grade c cable series like Hawthorne, which hires every unemployed lesbian in Hollywood (Sara Gilbert, Anne Ramsey etc)
by Anonymous | reply 7 | June 19, 2011 9:11 PM |
There are certain shows that just must have a lesbian casting director, the lesbian mafia sponsors it, or who knows what's going on. But it's always funny how if you can find one lesbian on a cast, there's always at least a second.
Examples: Deadwood Lost CSI
by Anonymous | reply 8 | June 19, 2011 9:19 PM |
I have a theory about why certain actresses, namely the lesbian ones, always have the 'difficult to work with', 'bitch', etc. reputations...%0D %0D The crew on any series is about 95% male, mostly straight. Straight men hit on everyone. Straight women play along enough to sooth the poor straight man's undeservedly large ego because they are well-trained by their real lives in that particular art.%0D %0D Well, lesbians don't even give them the time of day or just give them weird looks when they do their idiotic mating dance in front of them. Hence, 'she's a bitch' is born as the talk of the set and the crew all picks it up and takes it everywhere they go. Poof, a bitch is born.%0D %0D I mean, really, is there even one lesbian actress without a bitch or cold reputation?
by Anonymous | reply 9 | June 19, 2011 10:06 PM |
Well there aren't even that many out lesbian actresses to begin with..But I think Portia De Rossi was liked. %0D %0D But yes, your theory is probably correct, as sad as it is.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | June 19, 2011 10:15 PM |
Robin thinks she is superior to the people she works with and that is a problem.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | June 20, 2011 2:13 AM |
I don't think Portia was really out until her latest series, though, and that only lasted for about six episodes. She wasn't out when she was on Arrested Development, was she? %0D %0D Plus, honestly, she's extremely hot and extremely hot people get passes on getting the 'bitch' tag even when they shoot straight men right in the ego.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | June 20, 2011 5:33 AM |
She was universally disliked by the cast and crew of the ANGELS IN AMERICA revival this season in NY.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | June 20, 2011 6:34 AM |
I don't believe she's out. When she was on the show "Life" there was an episode that had people wondering whether her character was gay or not, it was kinda funny. I think she's cute, sorry to hear she has a bad reputation.
Anytime she's in something I try to watch it. I loved Deadwood and Lost.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | June 20, 2011 2:25 PM |
I also think she's adorable. Just my type.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | June 20, 2011 2:49 PM |
R13- Why?
by Anonymous | reply 16 | June 20, 2011 3:18 PM |
The cast of CSI LOVE me!
by Anonymous | reply 17 | June 20, 2011 3:21 PM |
Is she scheduled to reprise her role on SONS OF ANARCHY this season? I liked her as the Sons' attorney.

She's dating a younger actress with no career named Erin Buckley.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | December 23, 2012 12:02 AM |
She and Erin broke up a while ago. Erin is a hot fox and way too good for her. And btw, Erin is a playwright and producer and quite busy in her career.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | December 23, 2012 12:13 AM |
The usual reasons I suspect: Robin was crazy, throwing tantrums, sleeping around, being selfish...am I close?
by Anonymous | reply 23 | December 27, 2012 6:24 PM |
Robin Weigert was phenomenal on Deadwood. Just a very real, painful portrayal that could've easily slipped into drunken tics. Sarah Paulson was great on it, too, for that matter, during her arc as a sadistic schoolteacher.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | December 27, 2012 6:30 PM |
Erin Buckley is ...married? To ...a guy?
by Anonymous | reply 25 | January 11, 2013 5:17 PM |
Tell us about Robin Weiger?

Robin was amazing as Jane. Love that whole series.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | January 13, 2013 9:18 PM |
Where does it say Erin is married to a guy? Where did that come from? She is a lesbian and she is not married.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | February 14, 2013 9:38 PM |
what series, R28?
by Anonymous | reply 30 | February 14, 2013 9:42 PM |
Deadwood.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | February 14, 2013 9:51 PM |
Is it worth watching, R31? I never watched it.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | February 14, 2013 10:22 PM |
Having known her, I assure you Robin did not earn her reputation due to the sexism of hetero film crews. She is mean, crazy as a loony-bird, thinks her shit don't stink, and is utterly incapable of apology. I don't think I've ever met anyone less sincere, less self-obsessed. Her daily casual wear should involve a full roll of yellow "CAUTION" tape and the symbol for radioactive waste. If there was scene crime tape on the ground indicating the corpse of everyone she's used and discarded, and if you lined them all up like paperdolls holding hands, they'd stretch at least a mile. At least. There should be a memorial wall maybe. Not a nice person if it doesn't serve her (limited) interests.
Erin deserved better-- certainly saner. Glad she got out in time.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | May 6, 2013 1:36 AM |
that's "more self-obsessed" not "less"
by Anonymous | reply 34 | May 6, 2013 4:29 PM |
Yeah, a really hateful person. Emotional vampire to the extreme. AND thinks she's the next Streep.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | May 10, 2013 11:41 PM |
Golly, r33, sounds like you dated her. ??? Then again, you hear a thing often enough, you'd be stupid not to give rumors some...consideration. And I've heard a lot of... "unfriendly" things about her ways. Too bad.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | May 16, 2013 5:23 AM |
It sucks when you know somebody is "family", but they're not a person you want to claim as one of your own. Or run into in a dark alley. Or a dark bar. Or run into, period.
Depressing.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | May 16, 2013 2:05 PM |
Does she have a drug or alcohol problem? Or just certifiably wacko? Sounds like she needs help.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | May 16, 2013 2:49 PM |
The kind of person who damages people for life. Yes they exist.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | May 23, 2013 9:32 PM |
I worked with her on a play in nyc and she was lovely to work with
by Anonymous | reply 40 | June 3, 2013 4:19 AM |
I was disappointed to hear RW spoken about in this way...I thought she came across as a very warm and decent person, onscreen at least. It is a truly horrible feeling when you encounter such animosity for any one person. I wonder if these stories are really true (it doesn't change my perspective either way) and if they are, why are they they being posted with such venomous glee...ok, i get the gossip and all, but such a torrent of hatefulness, is that really necessary?
by Anonymous | reply 41 | April 20, 2014 8:06 PM |
She always reminds me of a younger Sandra Bullock.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | April 20, 2014 8:15 PM |
I don't see that at all
by Anonymous | reply 43 | April 20, 2014 8:36 PM |
R43,
Their teeth and the square jaw. The eyes are totally different, though.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | April 20, 2014 8:39 PM |
nope, still don't see it..bullock seems a completely different type of entity to me...
by Anonymous | reply 45 | April 20, 2014 8:49 PM |
I know Robin, have done for a long time. All ill say is because actors actually have a "private" life. The press will always say they are a nightmare to work with etc....
This is NOT the case with Robin..I only say this now because i hate to see people i care about being trashed when there is really no hard facts except idle gossip !!
by Anonymous | reply 46 | August 24, 2014 9:22 PM |
I saw Robin at a book launch event and she seemed lovely.
