Does Magic Johnson really have HIV?

I hope no one misconstrues this and takes it the wrong way, but I always have my doubts that Magic is HIV+. He''s supposedly had it for so long now yet still looks completely healthy. YES, I know there are fantastic HIV drugs on the market...NOWADAYS! But back 20 years ago when he was first diagnosed, that was not the case. So how''d he make it this long while countless others have not?

I have more T cells now than I did then (more than many negative men my age), no facial wasting, no hump, no "crix belly" yet have been on the drugs since 1994. OP, not everyone goes on meds early on after being diagnosed and I'm not sure when Magic first did. Some people don't go on meds for many years after being diagnosed, at least now. Also, some people have very good cosmetic and pharmaceutical help in maintaining their appearance. I have a friend who works in healthcare, and she told me one of the most disgusting things I've ever heard. She said many pregnant African American women actually refuse the medication that blocks their baby from contracting the HIV virus because the government pays them more benefits when they have an HIV+ child. If that isn't sick, I don't know what is.
