- The closet happened.
- He tried too hard to be the heterosexual A-lister fantasy. Had he dropped all that nonsense and just concentrated on his acting, he might have gotten somewhere.
- r2 stated it perfectly.\
\
He had the stardom, but couldn''t even fake it. I do think Bilson is a good friend of his.\
\
But, damn, the closet sucks.
- Forget about the closet: he''s a no-talent as an actor. Really, really not gifted. Not capable.\
\
And for heaven''s sake, would it kill him to join a gym? Do some weights? That body is spectacularly unimpressive. \
\
Bilson, by comparison, looks pretty good.
- I have to agree. He''s not talented.
- [quote]he looks awful.\
\
What are you talking about - he looks great! In fact, I think I''m going to have a wank over these pics right now. Brb.
- So...when did he dump you r4?
- Mission accomplished. I came pretty hard.
r6
- He''s been good in a couple of films, Life As A House and Shattered Glass. He still has promise but stretching for stardom can be a real killer when you have to subvert yourself to Hollywood''s standards of what it means to be a leading man.
An Actor Who Knows Firsthand
- Men just don''t age well.
- Thats an overreaching generalization even by DL standards r10. Check the ''hot guys over 45'' thread to see the error of your sheltered shut-in life.
- He''s not that old. He''s only, like 30 or so.\
\
He''d like much better if he just toned up a little bit. I''ve never really found him attractive though, even at his "peak" in the Star Wars movies.
- Every time I open one of these threads I''m prepared to be greeted by someone who looks like death warmed over and almost every time I see a reasonable to good-looking guy, maybe no more than a bit out of shape or a little pale. That''s a crime? %0D\
%0D\
Certainly not the fright show DL makes a lot of men out to be. Perhaps my standards are terribly low but then it''s no wonder many here seem either constantly unhappy or lonely, though I appreciate a lot of it is parody talking.%0D\
%0D\
I would say Hayden C looks better than he has in some time. Sorry.
- He''s just not a very good actor, and his type of looks don''t age well. At his current age, they start to want male actors who are more masculine and square jawed, i.e. a more traditional, sturdy romantic leading man. There''s much more competition, too, with seemingly every actor from Australia or the British Isles donning fake accents to break into American films and TV. If being closeted or gay were a problem, Hollywood wouldn''t be able to cast a single film. As long as you aren''t caught with your mouth on someone''s dick, must straight people in America will happily be fooled by some simple bearding.
- R13, if people are in movies, part of that is being fit and good-looking. \
\
If they''re not above average actors, then looks & charm are what put asses in theatre seats.\
\
Also, remember this is DL: pointless bitchery abounds.
- I like the way Hayden C. talks and the way he looks in that movie with Jessica Alba. But that''s about it.\
\
Part of being an actor is to stay fit and take care of the looks. But Hayden seems to have slacked off on that.

- What happened to Dlisted? Is that a new format or what? Anyway, looks like shit.
- I think he looks adorable.\
You gym queens are so pathetic.
- I thought they broke up?
- "I thought they broke up?"\
\
The contract lapsed but was renewed after hammering out increased financial compensation for Bilson. His career is in decline so this incentive was needed to get her to sign on again.
- I think he looks really good.
- OMG, what happened to Hayden Christensen''s once-pretty face? The guy in those pics doesn''t even look like him!
- And wtf is up with Rachel Bilson wrapping a young child in her towel in pics 10 & 11?
- [quote]I see a reasonable to good-looking guy, maybe no more than a bit out of shape or a little pale. That''s a crime? \
\
This is DL, the most hyper-PC self-loathing group of people on the planet. White skin tops the most hated list. Browse the other threads and bask in the caucasian hate.
- Remember his obsessive fan who was convinced that him and Trevor Blumas were in a relationship? He even had his own website dedicated to those two.Well, they sued him and right before they would go to court he commited suicide. The guy was in his 40''s and lived in Nj..he carried a picture of Trevor in his wallet and would tell anybody that it was his son.
- "he carried a picture of Trevor in his wallet and would tell anybody that it was his son."\
\
It''s one thing to be a groupie, but it''s definitely another to do something like this.
Anonymous
- Naw, r24 - we just hate racist faggots like yourself.
- I think he''s really rather cute in those pics. Better pale than Lohan orange.\
\
As far as his acting, I loved Shattered Glass. Like most actors, he''s only as good as his material. No one could have done a good job in the dreadful Star Wars shit he starred in. Very few actors these days have the ability of a Garbo or Bette Davis to transcend a terrible script.\
\
Too bad about the bearding, though. What a pain to be in that situation and it really hasn''t helped his career any.
- I''ve been at DL for ten years, and R24 is spot-on.
- His body looks totally undefined.
- I think that Hayden Christensen had a couple great performances before/during the Star Wars films.
"Life as a House" (2001) was an okay movie, but had pretty good performances from the four major players, Christensen included. The movie was a bit "American Beauty-lite," but Christensen's management was wise to get him into this film before Star Wars came out. (I think it was filmed after "Attack of the Clones" but released first because of the massive post-production required for the Star Wars prequels.)
Then came "Attack of the Clones" (2002). We all know that Lucas is among the worst actor's directors. The terrible script didn't help matters, and the end result was predictably sour.
Then came "Shattered Glass" (2003), another okay film with standout performances from the lead cast. In my opinion, Christensen's performance here was even better than in "Life as a House." At the time, I thought he would be a big star: it seemed that when he had "real" material he would do well. His crap performance in "Attack of the Clones" seemed to indicate that he still needed competent direction, but as most twenty-something actors need good direction, I didn't hold it against him.
"Revenge of the Sith" (2005) was, I think, the nail in his career coffin. It was just as bad as "Attack of the Clones," but with only four notable features to his credit, Christensen looked like he had a 50% success rate. And no one really saw "Life as a House" or "Shattered Glass," so it looked like he had a 0% success rate.
Three years later, "Jumper" (2008) came out. It was fun and stylish, well-directed (for what it was) by Doug Liman. In my opinion, however, Christensen couldn't battle against the horrible cultural aftertaste of the Star Wars prequels. (I also don't think it helped that he was placed more or less opposite Jamie Bell, who is not only a fantastic actor, but certainly one more accomplished than Christensen.)
All in all, I think he had the potential to become a big star, but it was ruined by George Lucas and the Star Wars prequels. Hopefully Christensen saved up the money from those two films, because I wouldn't expect him to have any better a career than Mark Hamill or Carrie Fisher.
I don't think his personal life even remotely had anything to do with his career. Gay or straight is absolutely the farthest thing I would credit with his successes or failures.
Seriously, folks, you say "Hayden Christensen" and people respond with, "Ugh, he was horrible in the Star Wars prequels." They don't say, "Ugh, if he hadn't been bearding with that chick, the fag might have had a career."
Get over yourselves.
- I used to think he was gay, but that rumor was largely started by the crazy Trevor Blumas guy. I feel sorry for both actors, that internet back then was rife with trolls and there was no moderation, there also weren't as many sites. He was such a bad inflience on their images, and they were just boys back then. He had NO right even if true to troll them that way.
Now, that Hayden is basically doing absolutely nothing, why would he care if anyone thought he was gay or not? He seems pretty comfortable with himself. And Rachel is doing okay.
Why would they FAKE anything? They aren't even D listers at this point. Yet they are together a lot. WHO would pay them to fake anything? It's been 7 years since ROTS.
Hayden has nothing to hide. He's not even close to being George Clooney, (who's entire image is based on being a charming "old Hollywood" silver fox ladies man, heh old Hollywood indeed, Rock Hudson old.... ;) in terms of fame and celebrity. It shouldn't matter. No one in entertainment cares about Hayden or his status. I'm sure his family loves him no matter what.
I think he's just lost his way a bit. He needs to stop doing things with his no talent brother and go out and do MAN roles that aren't angsty kids anymore. He's too old for that. he needs to audition and challenge himself once more. I wish he would. And take some speech lessons.
I am sorry to see him go, he had so much potential.
- I'm sorry, but Hayden didn't go anywhere because he can't act, he can't open a film, and his relationship with Bilson (whether fake or not) failed to generate substantive publicity for either of them. He should follow Bilson and try to tackle TV, since I don't see his film career going anywhere.
- I don't even see there being much interest in him being on TV. He's not a "name" anymore, has forgettable looks and negligible talent.
He should get his real estate license.
- R32, the Trevor Blumas troll is hardly responsible for Hayden's career problems.
- There's a blind item going around about an actor who is now an escort in LA and Vegas. Folks are speculating that it's Hayden.
- r10
Well white men don't
Barack%20Obama
- I don't even see there being much interest in him being a real estate agent. He's not a "name" anymore, has forgettable looks and negligible talent.
He should work at Burger King.
- I think he's more of a Panda Express type. I can picture him in the uniform. I'd hire him as an escort though. He's pretty.
- There were rumours of Bilson being an escort too.
- The latest articles out this month claim that Hayden & Rachel are planning to move in together. Hayden is apparently buying a house for them.
- Believe it or not it's not a staged relationship.
- [quote]There's a blind item going around about an actor who is now an escort in LA and Vegas. Folks are speculating that it's Hayden.
That's ridiculous.
Do people realize that Hayden Christensen is a multi-millionaire? He was paid millions for Star Wars, and has made millions from the other films he has done, plus he and his brother Tove have their own production company.
Hayden isn't ever going to be Johnny Depp, but he still works regularly and is very wealthy. He isn't some D-list actor who can only get work as an extra.
- [quote]There's a blind item going around about an actor who is now an escort in LA and Vegas. Folks are speculating that it's Hayden.
That's because folks are stupid. The BI was broadly worded enough to fit nearly any actor in Hollywood. Stupid people falsely assumed it was Hayden because he hasn't had a hit in several years. Although R43 is ridiculous to claim Hayden is "still working" when his resume for the past four years is nearly nonexistent, he is correct that Hayden is a millionaire many times over and would have no need at all to escort. Moreover, as the lead actor in two "Star Wars" films he is still more than recognizable enough to make it impossible for him to get away with working unnoticed as a male escort.
- [quote]Although [R43] is ridiculous to claim Hayden is "still working" when his resume for the past four years is nearly nonexistent
No, it's not ridiculous to claim he is still working, because he is. Hayden doesn't do multiple films a year because he doesn't need to and he doesn't want to. He does a couple of films every other year He was just in "Takers" with Paul Walker a couple years ago, and he has several films lined up right now if you check out his IMDB bio.
Many actors work irregularly once they become able to do so. Lots of young actors would love to have Hayden's "nearly nonexistent" career.
R43
- Gym Queens shoot harder AND further.
- All of the agents at William Morris got tired of him being an insatiable, bitchy bottom.
- Anakin Skywalker/ Darth Vader
Anomynous%20
- Voracious cocksucker.
- R49, I remember those threads claiming that about Hayden years back when the Star Wars prequels came out, but we never seemed to get any proof.
And now here it is a decade after Hayden's first Star Wars film, and we haven't learned anything to confirm whether he is gay. Meanwhile he continues to be in an apparent relationship with a female.
- [quote]Believe it or not it's not a staged relationship.
Do you have something to tell us, R42?
- It's the DL MO - swear up and down a guy is gay, then more than likely than not be proved incorrect at a later date.
- pardon me, nix one of those "than"s.
- R50 the same could be said of Tom Cruise (and many others).
- What's your point, R54?
- Anybody here met him before? He looks like he has a bitchy attitude.
- Rachel Bilson looks absolutely smoking in those pictures. She's a little too "cutesy" for me but still.....
- Maybe another indicator that he's gay, R56!
- Are you saying she's hot, R57?
Do you think Hayden is inside that pussy right now?
- He doesn't look awful but yes his career is in the toilet
- R57 the point is that there is no proof that any closeted celebs are gay, or they wouldn't be considered closeted.
Hayden is no different than any other celebs. Don't like what you're reading? Don't troll on gay gossip sites.
- I've visited DL from the last century on, and there has not been a good-looking young male celebrity who was not rumored as gay here since then.
- I am reading a lot of hmmm wishful thinking and plenty of cattiness. I'd like to see how beautiful all of you bitches are and how wonderful your careers are doing! Meow to most of you.
sagebaby
- I don't think he looks awful at all. I think he looks good.
- It's the beginning of the end of his career--according to imdb, he's starring in an upcoming film with the ultimate hack, Nicolas Cage.
- The same thing that's going to happen to Robert Pattinson's career. People figured out he couldn't act.
- He wasn't necessarily planning to be the next Laurence Olivier, so the last laugh is on you.
He got to be in some big films and make millions of dollars and is still working. He can live off his earnings for quite some time.
- He looks fine. Add some makeup and a few weeks at the gym and he'd be camera-ready again.
I think when actors sign up for a mega-project like the Star Wars prequels they run the risk of derailing their careers. It's hard to tell if you're going to wind up like Harrison Ford or Mark Hamill.
- True, R68. I don't think Hayden Christensen considers himself Johnny Depp or some guy who is going to have an A-list career. He's just a young guy who has had a successful career in his younger years but who will have more minor roles in the future.
- He can't act and has no charisma. It's not really shocking that his career fell off a cliff.
- R70, his career didn't fall off a cliff - he had a steady t.v. & film career before Star Wars and he still has that now. It's just because of the 2 huge films he was in during the middle of it that people assume he was always supposed to be at that peak.
- The Hayden fangurl is really fucking annoying.
He's a has-been. Hasn't worked in years. People have forgotten who he is.
- R72, we're not fangirls - we're just not idiots like you who think that unless an actor is an A-lister or an Oscar winner that he is a nobody.
Most actors graduating drama school today would LOVE to have the career that Hayden has.
- Sorry, hon. He's a has-been. I think most actors don't dream of their careers being over at 25.
Also, nice use of the royal 'we'.
eye%20roll
- R74:
1. Hayden's career isn't over - he is still working, both in front of and behind the camera
2. If you actually had been to drama school, you would know that most actors would love to have the lead role in a multi-million dollar film franchise
- Isn't this guy financially set for life? I thought I read somewhere that he did not find being an actor or celebrity all that interesting, which is refreshing.
- He's the Mark Hamill of his time. Being in a franchise doesn't do anything for an actor's career unless he can score hits outside of his franchise.
I think Hayden's pathetic resume speaks for itself.
- R76, I believe Hayden earned at least $7 million from Star Wars alone. Apart from the fact that he is still doing films, he and his brother have a production company.
Btw, this will bother the Hayden hater at R74, but this boy still has a lot of money and is doing very well for himself. Here's an article about the $2.65 million house he just put on the market.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2214163/Hayden-Christensen-sell-property-2-65m--search-love-nest-Rachel-Bilson.html
- R77, your posts at R70, R72, R74 & R77 speak for themselves.
- You keep on wishing for something that doesn't exist. Just admit that Hayden is washed up. He's not a good actor. His only hits were the Star Wars movies, which he wasn't very good in and would have been money makers with or without Hayden.
He's on no one's radar. His career is gone. He hasn't worked in 3 years.
If he made some money from Star Wars, great. Hope he invests wisely because it's going to have to last him the rest of his life.
- R80, take a look at the gorgeous photos of that multi-million dollar home above that you will never own.
- I don't really care about his home, R81. But apparently you do.
- [quote]He hasn't worked in 3 years.
Now you're getting like the Republicans - just making up your own facts. It's one thing to say he's a bad actor - that's fine because it's a matter of opinion and you're entitled to it.
But when you say he isn't working, that is called a lie because it goes against the actual facts - Hayden has appeared in several films in recent years and is currently making more as stated above. He was just in 'Takers' with Paul Walker & co. in 2010, amongst others.
- Takers was in 2010. It's now 2013. That's 3 years.
Simple math, dear.
- Hayden Christensen is playing the lead in an upcoming film called "The Diplomat" with Oscar winner Jim Broadbent, Connie Nielsen, Joseph Fiennes and others.
Hayden is also starring with Oscar-winner Nicolas Cage in "Outcast".
Whoops. Sorry to burst your fantasy that Hayden's career is over, R82. We have something called facts in this world.

R82%20is%20probably%20a%20Republican
- R85/83 and ON AND ON. Are you Hayden's publicist? His agent?
Are you just fucking INSANE?
Hayden hasn't had a legitimate career in years. Stars Wars was over 10 years ago.
Everything on his IMDB looks like direct-to-video garbage.
Seriously, get a fucking life.
And stop equating saying Hayden is a washed up actor to being a Republican. Talk about reaching.
- [quote]take a look at the gorgeous photos of that multi-million dollar home above that you will never own.
If one wanted to be jealous of a celebrity, I don't think anybody would pick Hayden Christensen of all people. You really sound like a demented fanboy.
- R86, someone above was lying about Hayden and making stuff up. I'm not even a big fan of his, but someone needed to set the record straight.
I just proved that Hayden is wealthy, owns a multi-million dollar house and has TWO upcoming films with OSCAR winners. And it only took me a few minutes.
Get over yourself.
- Hayden is also starring with Oscar-winner Nicolas Cage in "Outcast".
Not exactly the sign of quality, R85. You pretty much just shot your argument to tell. Nic Cage will do anything for a paycheck. He's a joke.
[quote]A mysterious warrior teams up with the daughter and son of a deposed Chinese Emperor to defeat their cruel Uncle, who seeks their deaths.
Yeah, ok. Sounds great.
- No, you are demented R86/R87. One of the things I've noticed on DL is that you have sad, anonymous losers like you who desperately want to 'prove' that every actor out there is a failure in some way even when they have been enormously successful. You were just proven wrong and you can't take it.
- [quote]someone above was lying about Hayden and making stuff up. I'm not even a big fan of his, but someone needed to set the record straight.
You are an idiot.
- Have it your own way, loser at R89. Hayden is working with high-profile big name actors. He's not the unemployed, on the street actor you pretended he was.
You've convinced yourself of something and you can't stand to be challenged.
- [quote]One of the things I've noticed on DL is that you have sad, anonymous losers like you who desperately want to 'prove' that every actor out there is a failure in some way even when they have been enormously successful. You were just proven wrong and you can't take it.
Please. Actors come and go. They have their moment and then they are done. Hayden had his moment in the early 2000s and couldn't capitalize on it because he can't act and there were more appealing/talented actors around and he couldn't compete.
End of.
Whether he has money from Star Wars or a nice house is immaterial. You sound hysterical.
- [quote]He's not the unemployed, on the street actor you pretended he was.
Who said he was on the street? He may have money, he may not. He may live beyond his means. He may have invested wisely. Seriously, who gives a shit?
He's BARELY working. His last film came out in 2010. The films he has listed on IMDB look like direct to VOD. He hasn't had a hit in years. He's not a respected actor. He's on the margins when he COULD have had gone on to much more if he had what it took to succeed.
And that's the point.
- From CDAN, reposted on D Listed:
[quote]This former almost A list all movie actor has had a hard time getting much work in the past couple of years. Did I mention he is in the closet to the public so hard that he would freak out if there was any light at all coming in? Probably one of the more famous beard relationships in Hollywood. No longer seeing his long time boyfriend, our actor now uses the services of two Thai guys when he needs umm, some stress relief. Problem is he needs to go to their massage shop to get it and one of these days someone will talk or release what must be some CCTV video.

- Was he in a Harry Potter film?
- Christ, he's only 31 years old! How many actors have been in as many films, shows, plays, and business affairs as Hayden has by age 31? Hardly any. He looks great and he surely is wealthy enough that he doesn't need to be scurrying about trying to find some new film. He has it made and is surely enjoying life a bit. He will have a very long career in acting if he chooses to do so.
Hollywood isn't the center of the universe for most of us.
- Doesn't sound like Hayden Christensen, R95.
- I don't think Hayden Christensen was 'almost A list'
- also not sure if Hayden & Rachel count as 'one of the more famous beard relationships'
- and not sure if Hayden is 'in the closet to the public so hard'

Sounds more likely to apply to someone in the Josh Hartnett category
- Gender reassignment surgery. Now starring on "Nashville" with Connie Britton.
- He was cast as the star in one of the most successful movie franchises of all time. He was, at one time, nearly A list.
The BI was very obviously about him. The description fits him to a T. And how many actors have been photographed coming out of a Thai massage parlor?
Lord, someone is really invested in the fantasy of Hayden being straight.
- R100, someone is really invested in the fantasy of Hayden being gay.
- I think he looks great. I always have. His body looks just right to me.
- He was totally adorable in "Shattered Glass."
- Loony fangirl, I didn't write the BI. Nor did I start the rumors that he's gay, which have persisted for many years.
- R104, no one is saying you wrote the blind item, just that you're an idiot for believing it.

R106 He looks kind of pervy there
- Shattered Glass was a fluke. He was really good and really cute in it, but never before or since.
- Wow, his looks are shot. Maybe he wants to be a character actor instead of a leading man.
- R111, Hayden is still gorgeous. I saw him not long ago and was surprised. Totally changed my view of him. Handsome, tall with much fuller lips than I expected.
Can't go by photographs where he has facial hair.
- I can see tub-o-lard Travolta molesting masseurs.
But it's sort of sad that HC has resorted to paying for hand jobs.

He also looks absolutely normal in those pictures. A bit of time in the gym and some styling and he will look exactly like every other film star.
