Rock and the Henry Willson boys

Of course I had known for years about Rock Hudson and super-agent Henry Willson and all those guys he managed back in the 50s - the Tabs, Troys, Guys etc. but I am finally reading that book that covers it all in detail "The Man who Invented Rock Hudson" - which I thought would be a great read full of gossip but its rather depressing to read how closeted they all were. Even Rock comes across as a jerk and major predator, dismissing guys like Troy Donahue and Alain Delon (Willson met him at Cannes in 58 when Delon was desperate to get into movies) as "having small dicks". %0D %0D How though did they get away with that sham marriage? Willson though was a nightmare - he didnt allow his clients to live together - it was ok to cruise and have casual sex but no falling in love or moving in with another guy! and so predatory - expecting sex for favours all the time. They all come across as major creeps - but that was the business then and probably still is. %0D %0D Interesting though to see the rumours confirmed about Guy Madison and Rory Calhoun, despite both being married.
