Victoria Jackson: "My gay friends aren''t really gay"
Driving to the Atlanta airport, I thought about G, my lifelong college friend from Auburn. He drove with me cross country in my 1980 beat-up Toyota Starlet when I went to Hollywood to be an actress. He was the only person who believed in me. He knows all of my sins. I know a few of his. I always tell him I don't believe he is "gay" %E2%80%93 we went on a date once and even kissed....
Actors play murderers, robbers and gossips, but the gay lifestyle is always glorified. The other sins always seem to be punished or redeemed, but TV shows never show the downside to homosexuality: the loneliness, shame, broken families and marriages, diseases. The shame does not come from "society" but from God. So, even if the gays get everyone in the world to accept their behavior as "normal," there will still be shame, because it goes against God. Unless sin numbs their soul and their heart turns to stone, they will hear the still, small voice of God saying, "I have a better way."
I was asked to do a lesbian kiss in a show once, and I said no. But, I'm guilty of being part of a few movies that may have been a bad influence on young people. I'm very sorry to anyone I led away from God.
The liberal media cannot understand how a Christian can love a homosexual and yet not condone their lifestyle. My gay friends and I don't discuss each other's sex lives. My gay friend S. called me last night and told me that he knows I love him.
From VJ''s World Net Daily column
This woman is a cow.
"The shame does not come from "society" but from God. "\
Quit speaking on my behalf.
Why can''t this washed up, bloated, overly-medicated, squeaky-voiced Republicunt just go away? %0D
Daily updates on Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachmann aren''t enough. I''m so glad we get daily updates on Victoria''s perspective too.
Kinda reminds me of Sarah Palin and her lesbian bff%0D\
I guess freepers think it makes them sound less bigoted if they pretend they have gay friends
There is absolutely no show in which one Miss Victoria Jackson was asked to do a lesbian kiss. Unless she names a particular show and the role which went to another actress she is merely trying to shore up her "I have my principles" cred-by lying.
I. C. Thruyou
As I read OP''s post, I imagined Victoria Jackson speaking these thoughts aloud and her voice gave me a headache.%0D\
I blame Dennis Miller.
Jackson''s rantings really come down to one fact: the POTUS is a black man.%0D\
All of the crazies are doing what they can to weaken Obama''s/the Democratic party''s chances of doing well in the next election.%0D\
It''s as simple as that. %0D\
There, I said it.
I''m not joking
One day someone is going to do an expose on the phenomenon of these white thirty something forty something middle class American female republicans. Something is definitely going on. They is just too much hysteria over gay men. I would wager that this has little to do with God (because their kids are way too godless for God to be directing anything in these homes) and more to do with control.\
Most of these women are head of their households, the bread winners, manage the kids, and have the directing voice in families which leads me to believe their husbands are weak. The Bible most certainly has much to say about that, all of it negative. \
I am sure many theories will surface.
Her gay friends are complete fucking losers.\
Of course, she is too.
She is one crazy plump cunt.
NOT one of her not-so-gay gays
Is she saying God caused AIDS to punish gays?
She''s always been stupid but has she always been this nasty?
We''ve secretly replaced Victoria Jackson''s gay friends with Folger''s Crystals. Let''s see if she can tell the difference!
After seeing her stint on Celebrity Fit Club and her recent intereviews I would say it''s obvious that she goes beyond being just another right winger. She''s mentally ill. I blame the media more for giving her a platform for her nutty rants.
But, I''m guilty of being part of a few movies that may have been a bad influence on young people. [italic]I''m very sorry to anyone I led away from God.[/italic]\
Wow. She really has an overinflated opinion of herself and her impact on people.
"I have gay friends" is the most tired phrase since "I have black friends".\
So, according to Miss Jackson, gays "hate god", but they''re also her friends. And she loves god more than anything. OK. Gays and Muslims are destroying our children, but she has gay friends. Bitch is either a liar or has a fucked up idea of friendship.
They aren''t gay gay.
God, her gay friends are pathetic. They don''t need to find Jesus but some self-respect would be nice.
these white thirty something forty something middle class American female republicans.\
Victoria Jackson WISHES she were a thirty-something, forty-something female. She hasn''t been for some time.
Let her host SNL. It would be a train wreck.
Victoria is Queen of Iran.
No gays here!
EW. Look at her! Just look at her! What is she saying??? That''s NASTY. That''s a NASTY NASTY LADY. Aww, look at those two cute Glee kids. That''s a nice kiss. Awww. Ew! Stop showing me this bleach blond Sally Struthers wannabe nasty lady!!!
we went on a date once and even kissed...\
Maybe that''s where her hatred of homosexuality comes from, being spurned by a gay man she wanted.
I don''t she ever was R23!
SHE NEEDS TO SIT HER FUNKY WHITE ASS DOWN. THE PUBLIC DOESN''T CARE ABOUT THIS FUCKIN'' BITCH.
Please release your caps lock, R29.
r29 = racist. Probably Whoopie Golberg.
From looking at her Wikipedia entry I see she the first college she attended was a Bible college in Florida. She was probably raised by Bible thumping Christians and as is so often the case, her ludicrous opinions were drummed into her from birth. I really think she is simply another sad example of someone who has been driven batty by religion. I also think that a great many people who demonstrate this level of religious fervor (especially when they preach one thing and do something completely different) have some sort of mental defect that is often passed down through successive generations of their families.
I have an old high school friend who is profoundly mentally ill (bi-polar among other issues) and as his parents did he also has an abnormal fixation with religion and the Bible. His attitude is if the Bible says it, it's real. Even when I bring up things the Bible says are OK but if done today would clearly get someone thrown into prison he refuses to back down. In short, he's batshit crazy just like his parents.
Umm what movies have Vcuntia Jackson been in besides some lame SNL production that i can''t remember or may not exist? I seriously doubt she was asked to kiss a woman, the bitch is a fucking liar. Let''s hope any gay friends she may or may not have had have dropped her since she started spewing bile comments.
The only movie I can think of was something with Andrew Dice Clay.
Is there a link? I can''t find anything on the WND page.
R35, lucky you!
The gay lifestyle is always glorified? Really, Victoria?\
As in Notes on a Scandal, The Talented Mr. Ripley, Sean Hayes silliness in Will and Grace, the bitchery and hedonism of so many of The Boys in the Band, Midnight Cowboy (John McGiver picking up Jon Voight at the peeps.... sure that was glorified living), Pixote, Johns, Cruisng, Shirley Maclaine hanging herself in The Children''s Hour, Robert Redford lying and using Natalie Wood in Inside Daisy Clover, Dirk Bogarde and all those other queens being blackmailed in Victim, William Hurt in Kiss of the Spider Woman, Phil Hoffman in Flawless, the Grey boy''s death in Streetcar, Prior Walter''s illness and hallucinations, Lewis''s neurosis and abandonment of Prior, and Roy Cohen''s evil in Angels in America?\
This is her idea of ALWAYS glorifying a "lifestyle"?
R37, if you are arguing with Victoria Jackson you are punching jello, reasoning with a rock, trying to breathe life into dust. \
Idiots just say things. Sometimes, those things are amusing, and sometimes they are hateful, but it''s all just so much unreasoned drivel.
you are punching jello, reasoning with a rock, trying to breathe life into dust%0D\
I really like this quote R38. May I borrow it?
You are welcome to it, R39.\
I had never thought of it before this morning, but I have been feeling it for a very long time. \
What is World Net Daily?
There is something wrong with her. Did she have a tumor or a head injury?
I blame Dennis Miller.\
Dennis Miller isn''t anti-gay, r7.
He just has a beef against humor.
When will these not really gay friends come forward? They should rerun her season of "Celebrity Fit Club" since it also featured Willie Aames (also a fundie) and Gary Busey. That''s a lot of crazy.
She sounds retarded R42.
R35 asked for a link, so I''m providing it. (Usually people here scream when you link to a far, far-right website, but there actually is even more material there on that page than was posted in this thread.)
Gays propagate the opinion that they were born this way and have no choice. They say they did not ask for their same-sex attraction. Everyone I know was born with sexual attraction they did not ask for. Should they act on it? Should my husband commit adultery because he has an attraction to another woman? Should my teenager fornicate because she was born with a strong urge to have sex with her boyfriend? Should I have sex with anyone I am attracted to? II Corinthians 10:5 says to "take every thought captive."
More form VJ
"Should I have sex with anyone I am attracted to?"\
Yes. Maybe then you''d stop being such a huge bitch.
Again, I wonder, why are you even giving this person of sub-par intelligence seriously enough to even bother to respond to her disjointed, incoherent blathering?\
There are truly nasty, vile anti-gay bastards who have - forgive me for saying so - some wit, some force, some ability to conjure something resembling a logical train of thought. What they say may be hateful and easy to refute, but they are speaking English.\
Virginia Jackson is not even smart enough to rise to their level. \
You are not swatting a fly or a gnat. You are striking at the fart of a cow.
I have been led away from God by Victoria Jackson''s performances. Before seeing them, I was a God-fearing Christian woman, content to stay in the kitchen and submit to my man. %0D\
As a result of her un-Godly influence, I am now a Satan-worshipping, lesbian, hemp-wearing vegan Democrat who watches Rachel Maddow every night. I even have a picture of her next to my bed. I kiss it every night before I go to sleep.%0D\
So where''s my book deal?
Operators are standing by now.
R43, he is NOW. And he''s fully in bed with anti-gay politicians and talking heads and other forces. He enables and defends and promotes them. And is paid by them.%0D\
Don''t defend Dennis Miller.%0D\
"Again, I wonder, why are you even giving this person of sub-par intelligence seriously enough to even bother to respond to her disjointed, incoherent blathering?"
The interesting thing about her? She is an exception to the rule that to actually know gay people is to love (or like) and sympathize with them and be generally supportive of their rights.
She indicates that the only person (pre SNL) who encouraged her and believed in her was a gay guy. That friendship and closeness could have influenced her beliefs despite the fact that she's conservative. But it didn't.
When you listen to a lot of Freepers talk about they gays, they'll tell you they don't actually know any. Or they'll point out a child molester that they've read about in the paper as an example of a gay person. The Freeper excuse is ignorance. They don't know or care about anyone in their life who is gay.
But what's her excuse? I think rabid, conservative Christianity could be part of it, but it also could be a convenient cover to slam homosexuals. ("It's not me, it's God who is disgusted by what you do.") Maybe deep down, she really is repulsed by gays and gay affection (that kiss between Kurt and Blaine that she mentioned in her first column).
The one "brilliant" thing that she does in her column is the reference to gay shame. Some gay people who have spent a portion of their life in hiding and fear are never able to shake the shame of being gay in a society that loathes gay people. Her message to those people: you will always feel that shame, not because you're not accepted by society, but because deep down inside you know you are a disgusting homosexual who is living contrary to God's plan for you. She does a mind-fuck on some gays who are still dealing with residual guilt and shame buy telling them that the one authentic, good thing about them is their crippling shame.
"Most of these women are head of their households, the bread winners, manage the kids, and have the directing voice in families which leads me to believe their husbands are weak"%0D\
Huh? Did you just pull that "theory" out of your ass?
Victoria Jackson: "My gay friends aren''t really gay"\
We''re not really her friends either.
Victoria''s gay friends
Ahh, yes Andrew Dice Clay. Another fine Christian.
Although I can''t stand her, I''ve always sort of gotten the feeling that Sarah Palin was pro-gay.
OK. It''s on. If I ever am around this woman I''m putting a fist through her Christ-Hole and let the consequences be damned. \
Sarah Palin looks like an erudite Rhodes Scholar next to Victoria Jackson.
Oh, let''s think that over a little.\
Sarah Palin looks like an erudite Rhodes Scholar next to Victoria Jackson.\
Sarah Palin looks a little less like blithering idiot next to Victoria Jackson. A little less. Just a teeny-tiny little bit less.
No - more than a teeny-tiny bit less. Go back and look at Jackson. Besides the little girl voice, she stumbles, she says "um" she acts like she''s "playing" a retarded person who has no idea how to behave in front of a camera. Palin, particularly at this point, is much, much smoother.\
I can''t stand her, but she should bring Victora Jackson along on all her appearances as an opening act.
"Secular humanism"? "One way tolerance"?\
Someone is coaching her to use these phrases and seem competent. They failed of course.
Her message to those people: you will always feel that shame, not because you''re not accepted by society, but because deep down inside you know you are a disgusting homosexual who is living contrary to God''s plan for you. She does a mind-fuck on some gays who are still dealing with residual guilt and shame buy telling them that the one authentic, good thing about them is their crippling shame\
I thought the same thing, she makes the point that even if all of society becomes completely accepting of gays, that still doesn''t make it "morally" right, it is inherently wrong. Of course this is bullshit, but some people can be easily fooled. She''s also assuming that everyone believes in God.
I don''t know who she is.
Does she think rich people are going to hell too, considering that Jesus said how hard it was for them to get to Heaven? That makes me wonder if Jesus was a Socialist.
Who is Victoria Jackson????
She was a bit player on Saturday Night Live over 20 years ago. Now she spews right wing stuff on Fox and fundy websites.
There is something wrong with her. Did she have a tumor or a head injury?%0D\
Hopefully she''ll have both very soon. What a hateful piece of work she is.
Is she a right-wing plant intended to make Sarah Palin look intelligent?
Someone actually thinks these women are married to strong men? Palin has a strong husband? Elizabeth, Bachmann, Sharon have strong husbands? \
At the very least they have impeccable gag reflexes.
I have to wonder about her gay friends and their willingness to stay friends with her when she thinks they''re sinful and disgusting. Maybe they''re the type of gays who are trying to "cure" themselves? It reminds me of this blog I read (only b/c of the pics posted of naked men), where the blogger will sometimes update the reader on his quest to heterosexuality.
Well R73, I wonder why Jodie Foster is friends with Mel Gibson, a conservative catholic who holds similar views.
She is a fucking moron.
We have to find a picture of VJ''s husband. I wonder if he has the Marcus Bachmann syndrome.
She has the right to her opinion. I have a right to mine. I disagree with her but I know where she''s coming from. What I don''t get is why she would speak out? Doesn''t she realise that''s career suicide? Dumb bitch.
Because she doesn''t know she''s a dumb bitch, R77. She thinks she has actual insight when she''s a stupid, talent-less, whining, cross-climbing cunt.%0D\
Sorry to insult cunts.
"Career suicide", R77? This is the most attention she''s gotten in 2 decades at least.
She went to Auburn. And now we see the evil that poor education leads to.
She can''t really STILL have a single gay friend, right???
Where the hell did she come from? I''d never even heard of her until this month and now it''s breaking news every time she opens her mouth to take a shit.
Wow, Nora Dunn and I were both so awful to her during SNL. Just mean girls. But we were both smart, ambitious comic actresses and we both thought she had no right being there. \
I completely overestimated her.
Paying attention to Victoria Jackson is like arguing with a retarded person. Sure, you can do it. But why would you want to?
Oh dear. She is nuts.
"Driving to the Atlanta airport, I thought about G, my lifelong college friend from Auburn. He drove with me cross country in my 1980 beat-up Toyota Starlet when I went to Hollywood to be an actress. He was the only person who believed in me. He knows all of my sins. I know a few of his. I always tell him I don''t believe he is "gay" " we went on a date once and even kissed...."%0D\
So let me get this straight. The only person who ever believed in her when she was an anonymous plebe, the only person to encourage her & tell her she could make it, was gay. And this is how she repays him?%0D\
With friends like these....
I sure hope G is not her friend anymore.
I can assure you that G isn''t.
Why would VJ need friends? With all those voices in her head, I doubt she is ever alone.
Is Mike Myers gay?
Here''s a husband. Not sure if it''s the current or former one.
"G" is probably dead. And crazy Victoria probably blames his demise (however it came) on his "gay lifestyle."
Has it occurred to anyone that she lied about having gay friends, even not-really-gay ones?
Nah, I am sure she had some early in her career.\
She wasn''t always this crazy or this fundie.\
Say, is her fugly hubbie a German bodybuilder?
These Right Wingers are such hypocrites.By the way ,why is she even quoted in any kind of media? I thought she was long gone along with Dennis Miller?\
Her kind would be the first to Point you out and Push you into the Truck when they start rounding up all Non Christian, Republican,American, US Born, Straight, God Fearing Citizens of the USA in the very near Future.\
When your Beliefs tell you that as a Devout Christian/Muslim/Jew/Other that YOU and your kind are the only ones Loved by God and be Saved and sent to Heaven, then in the end you really do not care about anyone else that do not belong to your group, whether they lived or died as long as You Know You will be Saved....\
My devout born again Christian uncle told me that although he "loves" me he cant let me be near his family because I am gay and is a sinner and therefore doomed already to hell....too bad he is so Blind that he does not see one of his beloved granddaughters is going to be a Major Power Lesbian when she is older....LOL
Her kookiness is amusing.
Victoria Jackson Wants a Gay Wife Swap \
From VJ''s latest column:\
Man, that "Glee" gay kiss thing sure caused an uproar. The show is written so well, with such great characters, it''s a shame they have to sprinkle immorality all over it. Inside Edition asked me "Why ''Glee''? Why now?" I said, "Why now? I have a column for the first time. And why ''Glee''? I just watched it last night for the first time."\
Now "Wife Swap" calls! My agent thinks they''d swap me with a gay couple. That would be great because then I could show the world that I love gay people and I''m not the homophobic hate-monger the media are making me out to be. The other perk is that I could afford that Tacoma pick-up truck I want and pay off my credit card. Cons: Husband says reality TV is the lowest form of entertainment, and the show is "suggestive" just in the title alone. Teenager says there is no way she will be on television. I think her practicing Rachmaninoff on the piano and Husband lifting weights would make great TV.
