• I saw Darren Criss on Broadway and his voice was thin. However, he was able to carry the show out of sheer charisma. He connects well with the audience, dancing and stunts were great and the fangirls (and boys) were plenty. How to Succeed was a brilliant career move for him as a limited engagement, he generated much money and press from this and he worked non-stop while in NY outside of the show. It was a perfect storm for him. As state above, he has a quality that goes beyond just talent. He has talent - maybe not the best singer, best dancer, best songwriter, best actor - but all of that together, the kid will go places. A friend of mine in the business says he is one of the hottest commodities right now and he's got smart people advising him and daddy's trust fund to catch him if he falls. • I know you're open to your own opinion and everything but seriously, WHAT THE FRAKING HELL?! He is seriously talented at acting, singing, songwriting, and dancing. He is VERY musical, playing the guitar, piano, violin, cello, mandolin, harmonica, drums, and didgeridoo for crying out loud. His work with Starkid Company is amazing as well as his more famous work on Glee and Broadway. • Sat behind him at A Christmas Story last night with my niece who was ready to pee in her pants with excitement. He was with his parents and shook hands and posed for pictures with all. Couldn't have been nicer. He's not THAT short. Maybe 5'7'". BTW- Christmas Story is great. A charming, old fashioned musical. Felt like a holiday follow up by Adler/Ross and team. Pleasant surprise.

• My friend who was an extra on the Glee set says that Darren in super nice and patient with the crew. He actually makes an effort to talk to the extras and various crew members. He has no ego or sense of entitlement whatsoever.
