Who were the Kardashians before they got famous for the sleazy series of shows they star in? I seem to remember Kris Jenner as a friend of Nicole Simpson. Dish!

• There is a great article by John Gregory Dunne, "The Simpsons," that appeared in the NY Review of Books in 1994. I can''t find a complete copy of the article online, but it gets the whole sleazy atmosphere down perfectly.
