Is Anyone Sick Of Natalie Portman?

I''m really tired of seeing and hearing about her. Her acting leaves me cold too. I never actually disliked her in the past, but just something about her rubs me wrong way these days. Perhaps it''s just me. Perhaps I''m not alone though.

• I''ve only seen her in a handful of roles, most notably the Star Wars prequels. I don''t get the hype. Pretty, but not particularly talented. But to be fair, the Star Wars prequels sucked so badly that it lessened everyone involved in my estimation.

• I have loved Natalie Portman since Beautiful Girls,and through her triumphs in Garden State and Closer. While I hated Black Swan, I liked her performance and won''t begrudge her her current success.\ \ However, the fact is that Benning, Lawrence and Williams (I haven''t seen Kidman) gave stronger performances this year, as did non-nominees Naomi Watts, Tilda Swinton, Jya Kim, Leslie Manville, and Julianne Moore.

• I thought she was terrific in Black Swan but believe that it will be the highlight of her career. The character fitted her perfectly but she doesn''t have a lot of range. Then again, a lot of actresses don''t. But she''ll always seem like a fragile little girl to me so I don''t know what other kinds of roles she can play as she gets older.
