Are you affected by the Full Moon or the New Moon?

There''s a full moon and I''m really feeling it.%0D\ %0D\ Wondering if anyone else here is the same. If so, how does it affect you?

• yes, if i''m in menses my flow is unusually heavy during full moons and new moons. i usually take the day off work if my cycle coincides with either of these events, because ordinary tampons are inadequate. i just stay home, line my panties with a hand towel, and eat ice cream and watch tv all day.

• Another girl here, and I started "the lady time"today. I don''t have those issues that R7 is has. But all day, I''ve had this crazy energy, not bad at all, just super mentally energetic.\ \ \ I had no idea the full moon was tomorrow until about an hour ago when a friend mentioned it. Hmmm.

• I''m a hospital nurse, and R3 is correct - the full moon makes crazy people crazier. During the full moon it''s not just the ER filling up with nutballs, all the old folks with dementia get dangerously agitated.%0D\ %0D\ It''s one of the reasons I stopped working nights.

• I think I have to change my vote about myself. It may just be the only two hours of sleep I''ve had (one at night, one this afternoon) in the last 24 hours, but I keep almost bursting into tears.

• I''m a night shift nurse and I give a big "amen" to r18. I worked last night and all the confused patients were in rare form. \ \ One 89-year-old woman kept making a run for it after slipping out of her safety belt. They even wheeled her out in the hall in her recliner so her nurse could watch her while charting, but she''d still escape every 5 minutes. Another nurse finally got her to sleep at 6 a.m. by pushing her around the halls in her recliner like a baby in a stroller.\ \ All night, you''d hear weird laughter, shouts, and other odd sounds coming from various rooms. There were only about 5 confused patients on our wing, but they ruled the roost.\ \ Then the day nurses got there and bitched about how everything wasn''t done and on a silver platter for them. I was fucking glad to get out of there.\ \ I do miss the old German man we had one full moon who''d call out all night in his creepy, Boris Karloff voice, "HHHaaaaaa-looooow..." It made that Halloween very festive.

• I am overly energetic almost manic during full moon. I can''t sleep but I get a lot done. It lasts more than a day though, usually two or even three. \ Is there a scientific reason why people act differently during that time?
