For Gay New York Arabs
A Place to dance and break down walls.

- I was sure this article was going to be about the NYSC steam room. That''s where I find them.
- I love this story, especially the fact that they call their dance club My Beloved.
- I wonder how long before some moron comes into the thread and thinks they''re so original by making a terrorist/bomb joke.\
\
At least make it a clever one!
- "Hummus queens. ...That''s what you call white guys who go for Arabs."
- Finally! A place to dance, tear down walls, and plan fabulous terrorist attacks.
Muhammad Tatyana Ali
- GREAT dance music. I''ve been twice, being a white guy who doesn''t want to be tagged as a hummus queen.\
\
The Indian party, "Desilicious", is also terrific.
- I have been meaning to go.
- Is it true that Arabs have the biggest dicks on the planet?
- Sounds like a great club.
- Please post pics of hot Arab men making out!
- Middle Eastern dance music really is great. %0D\

The awful queen from Dubai, with his cracks about kebab vendors, was depressing.
- How nice that New York has finally caught up with us. SF and LA have had gay Middle Eastern parties for years.

SF Gay Gayerson III
- I''ve lived in NYC all my life, but I''ve got to concede Gayerson''s point--we''re late on more of this stuff than we should be.
- Apparently the internet has led to the demise of the Arab gay social events, according to the article. That leaves the gay Arabs with hooking up over the internet or at the monthly dance. Sad.\
\
Or is another part of the story how they are mingling with non-Arab gay men? I know that the French gay men are gaga over Arab men. Hummus queens dating baguette queens.
- I don''t know that NYC is that late to the party, as I feel like I heard about and even went to one of these something like 7 years ago. Maybe not the same exact party promoted by the same people, but it was a gay middle eastern dance party at some cleared out restaraunt or bar or something.%0D\

I think the Times is just late on reporting about it...no surprises there.
- Are you thinking of Basement Bhangra, r15? It might still be going on at S.O.B.''s, but I don''t know. It was an Indian party, primarily, and not an officially "gay" event.
- This party has been going on for 9 years.
- The gay Indian party is "Desilicious"; at least it was 3-4 years ago.
- mmmm, love me those falafel fags.
- I agree with some of the comments. It''s ridiculous to frame this as a Muslim issue when some Arabs are actually Christian. My bf is a Lebanese Catholic, and yes R8, he doesn''t disappoint. Hummusexuals made me laugh. I''m going to call him that from now on.
- Gay-rabs?
Gaysians
- I know two guys from Bangladesh who are in arranged marriages. They love their kids, have sex with their wives, but get their real needs satisfied through mansex. And adhering to their Muslim faith, shave their bodies from the neck to under the balls.
- I am in love with a young beautiful guy who until recently worked at the deli/market across the street from my apartment. I want to go just to see if he''s there. I didn''t ever want to destroy our respectful and friendly vibe we had when I saw him at his job.
- r23, have you posted about him here before?
- Doesn''t the place stink?
- How do you guys feel about Amr Khalil on this page?

I have been MOANING to go.
mexican-american in EL LAY into middle eastern men
- Arab men are hot, but the hygiene thing would worry me.\
\
The party sounds fun...I''ve partied with Arabs before and they know how to live the high life (it''s the only time I''ve not had to pay a cover, got to sit in a VIP section, and enjoyed complimentary drinks all night). \
\
PS - That Dubai guy in the article sounds like a real piece of work. What does it matter if someone runs a cart or works at a deli? As long as they''re hot...
-
And adhering to their Muslim faith, shave their bodies from the neck to under the balls.\
\
What part of the ''faith'' does that come from?\
\
I have traveled all over the middle East and Turkey and rarely encountered anyone who shaved. Many had fur carpets on their bodies.
- r31, the edict comes from The Hadith.
- been a few times years ago...some real hotties :)
- I doubt the masculine hot Arab dudes go to these gay events/clubs.
- how is this place doing now?
- I've been to Habibi and it's a great party. Fuck all the anti-Arab bullshit on DL.
nicegayjewishboy
-
Calling Habibi "kind of trashy compared to what most Arabs, at least in Dubai, are used to," he said: "I mean, there are street vendors here." Nodding in the direction of a man standing in the shadows nearby, the student said: "You can spot the ones who sell kebabs on the street. It's not difficult."
!ماري
- I love the gay Arab guy on Shahs of Sunset. Just my type: middle eastern and very masculine. I really would lick his shitter.
- Arab men don't bottom so what's the point?
- Persian, R38... Persian, as in "We're obnoxious idiots who are tacky as hell, but don't you dare confuse us with 'Arabs' because we think we're better!"
- Reza, [italic]masculine?[/italic] He talks like Snagglepuss!
- Cute

- I love the way an article like this in the Times always provokes someone from SF or Dallas or "Hotlanta" to come on here and say they're "glad NYC is catching up."
Insecure much?
An article like that doesn't mean stuff like that hasn't been going on for decades. NYC is not just a larger SF.
- r31/2, total head covering isn't in the Q'uran, it's cultural.
- This thread is useless without pics of cute Arabian twinks
- Yes, R8, hung like camels. Very romantic, yet primal...
- Gay Suicide Bombers: the detonator is implanted up by the prostate.
