Change in Gay.com chat room listings

I was just looking at the listings of the chatrooms on Gay.com (I know, flame away) and noticed that the Daddies chat room (which always seems to have a few hundred guys in it) is no longer there. Any idea why it''s gone?

• I went to gay.com over the holidays and was shocked to see how empty it is. Rooms that used to have 100 guys had 10 and no one was even chatting. I guess Craig''s List and other slutty sites came along and guys don''t need it anymore for hookups. \ \ Remember the green layout?

• OMG, gay.com was the shit in the mid 2000s. Me and my bestie would run the room cause havok! Hey Twisty, whut up, gurl!

• I thought it was because they got too controlling. It was great about 8 years ago. The teen rooms were hot. Some great hookups were always available.

• They shot themselves in the foot when they redid the chat a few years back. They made it so you couldn't build your own chat client. Like Manhunt.net came along and wiped out the competition, then started charging, then A4A came along and used ads and is killing off Manhunt.net

• GDC has deleted all chat rooms without consultation or notice. Folks are trying to regroup in the GDC REFUGEES room on EXPRESS.PALTALK.COM, or in the USA GENERAL room on GAYDAR.CO.UK

• As of January 22, 2013, chat rooms no longer exist on gay.com. I could never understand why the "trend" is social sites with no chat rooms. Gay.com just jumped on the bandwagon and eliminated its chat rooms altogether. It was losing members to sites that don't have chat rooms, yet the chat rooms feature is what kept me at gay.com and not joining the other sites. I guess chat rooms aren't wanted anymore. Shame!
