None. The glasses always had a funny smell.

I bought a McDonalds glass with my filet o’ fish during the last Olympics and it broke within 6 months.

THE ARCHIES - on the Welch's jelly jars.

Wasn't there a big backlash when it was reported that a lot of those glasses had lead and other toxins and were hazardous to your health?

Also had The Great Muppet Caper set.
The Smurfs
They used to serve the drink in the glass, too. The lil plastic top fit perfectly on the rim of the glass.

How about plastic mugs? I collected the Funny Face gang from the Kool-Aid ripoff of the same name.

Camp Snoopy
"The struggle for security is no picnic!" has always resonated with me.

I think we had hockey players. Canada.
One of my aunts had a collection of small glasses with hearts, diamonds, spades, clubs, at her summer cottage. Red and black.
Our mother promised she would never allow us to eat so much crappy mustard and relish to attain THAT collection.
We slathered OUR hotdogs with Dijon.

R5 Yes, there was - I remember there was something about them not being safe in the early 70s, and my mother ended up tossing the whole collection of 'The Archies' glasses (I think we had 8 of them). I remember crying over them - I loved drinking my milk from those glasses at lunch time.

We had A&W mugs my parents brought bavk from a rare family trip that I don't entirely remember, because I was three.
Presently, I want a nice set of Zodiac highball glasses from the 1960s/1970s. Those that have the relative information on the back, to be used as a conversation starter. But I'm sure as hell not paying two hundred dollars for the pleasure.

Kids who collected glasses were considered nerds in my neighborhood.

R17 I’d like to see the pencil you dialed your rotary phone with. Did it have rhinestones and feathers?

Does anyone remember this thing? There was a stuffed animal, too.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | May 6, 2024 2:17 AM |
I had the Bugs Bunny crowd.

OP, I loved the Grimace glass the best

The original Flintstones glasses that came filled with Welch's grape jelly.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | May 6, 2024 2:48 AM |
I had a complete set of those McDonald's glasses. My mom routinely put them in the dishwasher, Grimace and the Hanburgular both faded away pretty quickly.

We still drink eggnog out of Arby's "holly berry" glasses every year.

Why is Porky Pig doing drag on that one glass? I'm not familiar with that character?

The one in the blue dress?
That's Petunia Pig.

We had some Disney McDonald’s cups from the 90s. Pinocchio and the raccoon from Pocahontas. We had three looney toons glasses (tweety, Wiley, and longhorn foghorn) but I’m not sure where they came from.

McDonald’s was a rare treat, so none.

Thanks. I've been watching Looney Tunes all my life and this was the first time I'd heard of Petunia. Not sure how I missed her.
