The lesser productions in Norman Lear's oeuvre
I know he's considered a groundbreaking creative force and he definitely was, but while his hits were often huge hits, he had more shows that flopped than successes!
This one fascinates me - All That Glitters sounds like a fascinating premise. I hope Gary Sandy's secretary character was scantily clad and objectified......

I remember All That Glitters. In the sex-reversal premise, Gary Sandy was a flirty secretary bimbo in tight pants. For some reason, Linda Gray played trans.
It might have worked in the 1950s when women weren't executives and such, but by the 1970s it already was outdated.

All That Glitters was on after the 11pm news. It had a lot of silent moments. Zero audience. I was a kid and it was so weird! One day it just wasn’t in anymore and I’ve been looking for it ever since!

I recently found an episode of that godawful 6 episode lengthed "A.K.A Pablo" sitcom from 1984 on archive.org. It was meant to showcase a funny Mexican family of about 15 living in California starring Paul Rodriguez. It was no bueno. It's only redeeming factor is that it co-starred the stirrer of my loins and owner of my heart , gorgeous chicano Arnaldo Santana (of Cruising/Scarface/gay porn fame). But no, even he couldn't save this.
I know they do an episode when Bea Arthur, a year shy of starting Golden Girls, guest stars as Paul's manager, hope that gets posted because it spunds promising.
