14. When I first got laid. I was one of the tribe now. I was now inside for sure, not looking in with envy
At what age did you consider yourself an adult?

Around 17 I realized that I definitely wasn't a child anymore. But I maintained childlike feelings until I was around 22. That was when the glitter and sprinkles ended. Now it's just bleak, sad adulthood with a dubious future.

I am 51 and still don’t consider myself one.

It’ll never happen.

I was at lunch the other day and there was a guy at my table. I thought, "I guess he's around my age" (I am 40). Time passed, and I looked at him again, and I realized that he didn't look exactly young.
I suppose that means I'm an adult, OP, although I certainly don't feel like one.

At age 23 when I first signed off on my SBA loan and signed a lease on a retail store for my business - I knew I was an adult and had to be responsible.

15-16-17.
At 15 I was having sex. At 16 a car gave me the freedom to have more sex and to have more time to myself, and at my own direction. At 17 I started college and moved away from my family; it was a clean break with the past and the.most important marker of adulthood for me.
