As a 1971 Wonka fan a la Gene Wilder, this movie was really weak and boring. Forgettable. The original stands up perfectly well on its own without these cash-grab prequels and remakes.

R4- I agree. I saw the 1971 movie in a theater around 1972 and loved it.
The only good scene in the 2005 remake - Veruka Salt 🧂 is waiting impatiently for Wonka to arrive and she says to her father-
Daddy make time go faster!
