Ted Turner got hot in his 80s

I guess the beard makes a difference.

Are you Helen Keller OP?

This is a sure signal that it's time for bed, OP.

He was handsome, but maybe should have shaved the mustache in the twilight of the 70s. He stayed pretty trim until he retired and added a spare tire.

What the fuck are you on about R4?

The Rhett Butler mustache just did not suit him at all.

Sadly, in OP's photo, he was already affected by dementia and had that "faraway look" in his eyes as though asking the photographer "Who are you, again? Why?"

AFAIK, the "Mouth of the South" is still alive.

"Captain Outrageous" was an Atlanta icon for his many outspoken opinions and his off the wall antics topped by his marriage to Jane Fonda. They became a fixture at Atlanta Braves baseball games. At the time I had seasons tickets behind 3rd plate and often spent more time looking at them than the game. Jane is a knockout in real life and Ted was quite a looker as well

OP is channeling his inner Anna-Nicole Smith

Ted was brash, ballsy, rich and very liberal, a nice combination

A gentleman.

Ted Turner studied Classics. For this alone I always admired him.

They really were a good-looking couple, weren't they? Like Gena Rowlands and John Cassevetes...or Suzy Parker and Bradford Dillman.
